Welcome to The Lotus Calabogie - one of the prettiest houses in the area. Enjoy the open concept spaces with the best view of Calabogie Lake. The house is few minutes to everything that Calabogie has to offer, the village, the park, the Lodge, the peaks, and the trails. You can go hiking, fishing, kayaking, swimming, motor racing, socializing, snow-shoeing, skiing, ice-fishing, or just staying chill. The Lotus Calabogie has all you need for the best vacation with your family and friends. The space High atop a hill, nestled on a tranquil and peaceful 2.5 acre setting amongst the lush green forests and woods outback, sits the picturesque The Lotus Calabogie! The village of Calabogie, where nature meets the vibrant bustle activity, pulsing with life, all year round. There is something for everyone! Directly across the road, as seen in the photos, is lake access (Black Bay) where you can hop in your kayak and explore all that Calabogie Lake has to offer (two tandem kayaks + life jackets avail on site as well). You can also launch your kayaks or boats at Barnet Park, or swim/hang out with the kids at Jocko Beach for the day, all only steps away from the home! For even more outdoor adventure and vacation needs, The Lotus is within minutes to the Peaks, Eagles Nest Trail, Motorsports Park, Highlands Golf, Nordic Ski Trails, 5-Star Restaurants, Spas, Shops and so much more. Custom built in 2002, the home has been lovingly kept and upgraded over the years. The lush outdoor gardens will captivate you. Immerse yourself with a good book and sit amongst the birds in the perennial gardens. Overlooking the gardens is an impressive screened gazebo that provides picture perfect views of the lake. A great spot to catch the sunset or hang out on a rainy day! The rock garden on the side of the gazebo, lovingly called "Turtle Mountain", is where more natural beauty in nature can be seen as turtles make their way up to a safe haven to lay their eggs. The Lotus offers all the amenities of a home! The main and second levels, with panoramic lake views from every room, offers four bedrooms, three baths, main floor living and family rooms, large spacious dining area and fully serviced kitchen amenities, brand new laundry facilities conveniently located on the second level. Natural hardwood flooring throughout the main level. Open concept kitchen/family room with large picture windows offers an abundance of natural lighting and of course the lake views. Relax after a long day on the slopes in front of a cozy gas fireplace! Kitchen amenities include newer stainless appliances, gas range, built-in dishwasher, microwave, additional essential appliances (coffee maker, a counter-top oven, a toaster, a kettle, a rice cooker, a slow cooker, a blender), pots & pans, dishes and plates, utensils, and serving dishes. Spacious dining room/living room also features gas fireplace. Main floor bedroom with a twin over double bund bed can sleep three and is ideal for kids or those with difficulty using stairs. Main bath, spacious foyer, mudroom and access to a two-car garage completes the first level. The grand staircase to the second level will bring you to where some say is the best room in the house! Majestic views towering over the pristine waters of the lake, one could sit here for hours! We call this the "Zen" space, furnished with an executive desk and chairs, two giant bean bags, and a recliner, where you can work, practice yoga, meditate, or simply contemplate life. The second level also offers the newly furnished master bedroom with a king-sized bed, large walk-in closet and three-piece en-suite bath; two additional well sized bedrooms (one with a king bed, the other with a queen bed), and the main bath with an antique clawfoot tub (for display only). Outside, you will find The Lotus Garden with different sections and arrangements. Two Adirondack Chairs with magnificent views of the lake make the best spot for your morning coffee. Other outdoor furniture along with an outdoor BBQ (propane provided) signify an amazing dinner out with family and friends. For your safety, a security camera is installed outside the garage. Let The Lotus Calabogie be your home away from home! Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home. There is no access permitted to the storage rooms in the garage and the detached garage at the rear of the property. Other things to note We love our own pets and are pleased to welcome yours! Please note that there is no fenced area on the property. For the enjoyment of those without pets, we ask that pets remain on the main floor and not on any beds. There will be pet beds available if required for their sleeping comfort. Sofas will be covered if your furry friend joins you on your stay. We also ask that you respectfully clean up after your pet, supplies will be available for this purpose. There will be an additional pet charge of $100 per stay. 5121A is another property sharing the same driveway. Residents of The Lotus (5152B) can walk on the driveway up to the gate which is the entrance to 5152A. The firepit and pergola on the other side of the driveway is part of The Lotus’ property and this area is available for your enjoyment.
