Creekside Serenity • Nature Getaway w/ Hot Tub

Engulf yourself on a secluded eight acres of property surrounded by the magnificent Shawnee National forest. Enjoy a refreshing dip in our private spring fed creek, watch wildlife, hike our local trails, kayak Whoopie cat lake, stargaze and let your worries drift away. We are centrally located to many sites and just a short 15 minute drive to Garden of the Gods and Rim rock/pounds hollow lake. Cave-In-Rock is only about 20 minutes, among others within 30 minutes. The space This home has been been lived in and loved for the past 30 plus years. We want to share our home solely for the purpose of enjoying the beautiful countryside. If you want a comfortable place to sleep, enjoy nature, seclusion and don’t mind an imperfect home, than this is your place to be! This home has many imperfections such as it is an older mobile. We have done our best to update and make it as homey as possible. Also, We have well water so it may be a bit harder than you are used to. Our house in located on a rural gravel road with no neighbors. We do live on a hill and recommend a 4x4 vehicle in the winter months. In rare cases, If we have a lot of rain, the bridges on both sides of our house flood and access to and from the house will be temporarily unavailable until the creeks lower. (Check weather ahead of time) The master bedroom has a king size bed and an adjoining bathroom. Down the hall is two more bedrooms with a shared bathroom. One bedroom has a full size bed and the other bedroom has a trundle with twin size beds. 🌿 Hot Tub (Seasonal Amenity): The hot tub is available during cooler months and is closed May through summer, reopening in the fall. The SaluSpa Monterey hot tub is cleaned and balanced prior to each stay. Please shower before use and do not add any substances to the hot tub, including alcohol, soaps, bath products, oils, lotions, or additional chemicals. If the hot tub becomes excessively cloudy, develops strong odors, or is otherwise left unusable due to misuse or failure to follow these rules, it may require draining, refilling, and rebalancing. In these cases, an additional $150 hot tub drain and cleaning fee will be charged to cover water, chemicals, labor, and lost availability for incoming guests. This fee does not apply to normal use or routine maintenance.. No pets allowed. ****We have another Airbnb that is an off grid, micro A-frame located on the back corner of the property. You cannot see the cabin from Creekside Serenity. You may see guests parking at the bottom of the hill before walking the trail to the cabin. Guest access Guest have access to the entire property surrounding our home and across the road to enjoy the private creek. We provide a fire pit, wood, charcoal grill and chairs. There are two kayaks for our guest to use. Guest are free to take the kayaks to other locations. For the children, we have a treehouse with a zip line, swings and a trampoline on site. Other things to note Cell service for most carriers is poor in the area. Verizon works best. No service at the house. Only through booster and WiFi. We kindly ask guests to double-check for personal belongings before departure, as we are not responsible for any items left behind.
