Luxury Green Oasis - House of Owls

Our home is stylish, comfortable, unique, spacious and environmentally friendly, that we hope you will love. On a large and picturesque plot, our ICOMOS / UNESCO award winning house spreads over 300 square metres. Originally built in 1899, the house and outbuildings were fully redeveloped in period 2015 - 2017. Features such as a swimming pool, indoor/outdoor cinema, organic garden, beautiful and authentic decor, and a hobby room - we hope will all add to your fantastic stay. The space Our space has often been described by loved ones and previous guests, as so tranquil and as though it's a 'world of it's own', with some opting to not leave at all during their stay! It's the perfect place to reconnect with nature and relax. The house is a traditional Banat House with a number of unique features; mud walls that smell wonderfully and keep you cool, 'Gonk' (long, covered terrace) and an original cellar where we keep some food and drinks. The space holds 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, study / library, open plan sitting room / dining area, large terrace with a barbecue and a number of outdoor dining areas dotted throughout the grounds. Of the 3,000 square metres, the majority is garden! This includes over 200 plant varieties, many edible. It also means our guests can enjoy a cheeky beverage under the mulberry tree, a catch up in the middle of our roses, or simply strolling through the garden, taking in the fresh air and breath taking sights and smells. The outbuildings include a grand hobby room, equipped with table tennis, snooker tables, darts, areas for painting and getting creative, various games, cards, etc. Our bikes live here too! Guest access The whole property is available to the guests. Kate, one of our previous guests from London said: "House of Owls is a very special place and our family had the most wonderful stay. Gana has such an eye for interiors, fabrics, artwork and furniture which are so colourful, interesting and beautiful. The gardens are stunning and vast with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy and the pool is heaven. We had wonderful warm summer evenings drinking Serbian wine enjoying bbqs & watching movies on the projector. It was a magical holiday and we can’t wait to return!" Other things to note in 2018, House of Owls was awarded an architectural prize by Icomos (Agency of Unesco) for preservation of traditional building methods and use of local artisans and craftsmen. Being environmentally conscious, we recycle everything we can and minimise waste. Our house and garden provides natural and stimulating living. Our use of single-use plastic is minimal; we are mindful of the effect that we and our actions have on the environment and go the extra mile to make sure that our impact is minimised.
