This is definitely a feeling we understand. However idyllic your current location, the urge to travel, explore and experience otherness is never far away. The farm We moved to Pylle during lockdown and are slowly renovating our wonderful old farmhouse. We keep chickens, grow our own veg, have planted an orchard, and over 250 other trees to rebuild the woodland that was certainly once here. Your tent will sit overlooking all the baby trees, with a backdrop of the mature woods down by the stream. It’s very relaxing, and both the sunsets and the star gazing are second to none. The tent We did lots of research but kept coming back to Lotus Belle tents. Not only are they beautiful but they also offer so much more usable space than a normal bell tent. You can fully stand up everywhere in the tent, and we plumped for the 6 meter (most bell tents are 4 or 5 meters), so there’s even more floorspace for you to enjoy. Finally, we loved Harri’s story and ethos so knew hers was a brand that would work at Fernweh. The tent will be fully furnished and decorated in its own unique style. We are mindful of our impact on the planet so have opted for antique/pre-loved furniture, brought back to life with some Fernweh TLC. Soft furnishings are new, but ethically sourced. As this is our first year, we don’t have any pictures yet, but we hope you’ll find the surprise part of the joy of your stay. The tent will be fully powered so you will have electric lights and be able to charge phones. There will only be one other tent in the garden so Fernweh would be perfect if you are after a quieter or more private glamping experience. Guests Each tent can sleep up to four people, with no extra surcharges. We will equip the tent with beds bespoke to your party size and requirements, be it one double, two singles, all three beds or any other combination! Facilities Bathroom. You will have full use of an indoor shower (both hot and powerful), toilet and sink. This bathroom will be shared, but only with one other tent. There’s also a compost loo in the field if you wish to make the most of the views. Bar. We can’t sell alcohol, but we have an outbuilding that is dubbed ‘the bar’ and you are welcome to use this space. It has a large fridge, a chest freezer and a tea/coffee station. We would also love for you to try some of our complimentary homemade cider, made from the apples by the church in Pylle. Parking. Free parking, please just let us know how many cars you are bringing in advance. Washing machine. You have a washing machine and tumble dryer just next to the shower room…handy if 2023 happens to be a wet year! Storage. We have plenty of storage space for luggage that you don’t want in your tent. The tents are on private land, surrounded by fields, but are obviously not secure. We are happy to store any valuables in the house if you wish. Transport Although the festival gates are only a 30min walk we appreciate that you may wish to save your energy for the main event.  Whilst we cannot offer 24h transport we are more than happy to arrange pre-determined transport into the festival where timings permit.  There will generally be no problem with dropping you at the gate, but we can’t guarantee return transport due to the fact we will also be enjoying the festival! The walk is safe and easy though, all on the road (which is closed to non-festival traffic) with options to take shortcuts on footpaths across fields. All we recommend is a headtorch, just so that any cars see you at night. Timings We offer a six-night package, from 20 to 26 June 2023 for £3508.24 (inclusive of Airbnb fees). This way you can beat the traffic and arrive on the Tuesday, getting a full night’s sleep before strolling into the Festival as early as the Wednesday. Believe us, it’s a great feeling not to be stuck in a car, or carrying a weeks’ worth of alcohol and glitter on that first day! Then, five incredible days later, make the most of the Sunday night and just checkout when you feel emotionally strong enough on the Monday. Photos This is our first year, so the tents are brand new and waiting to be delivered. As such we don’t have any photos of them fully decorated, but as soon as we do, we will put them on here. The photos on this page were mainly taken in the garden last summer, with the view of the festival taken on a hilltop footpath a couple of fields away. The photos of the tent have been kindly provided by Lotus Belle just so you can have an idea of the space. House rules Fernweh is our home so all we ask is that you treat the house, tent, garden and animals with respect and, in return, we will do everything we can to make your stay as perfect as possible. The tents are non-smoking. Money Any damage to the tent will be charged through Airbnb. There are no cleaning fees. Finally...
