The Blue House is a private beachfront vacation home on San Salvador Island, Bahamas, offering sweeping ocean views and direct access to a secluded beach. Spacious and comfortable, the home features a large open living room with vaulted ceilings and an expansive oceanfront deck overlooking clear turquoise waters. Just steps from the beach and centrally located on an island rich with history, adventure, and fun, the home offers both comfort and convenience. The 1,200 sq ft beachfront deck includes a large dining table and gas barbecue—perfect for relaxed family meals in the ocean breeze. Lounge chairs are also available for unwinding and soaking in the view. The ground-floor master bedroom overlooks the ocean and opens directly onto the deck through sliding glass doors. Off the master bedroom is a full bathroom, along with a second bedroom featuring two twin beds—ideal for couples with small children. Upstairs, the second floor offers three additional bedrooms and three bathrooms, including two master bedrooms with ensuite baths and a small bedroom with a bunk bed, plus an additional full bathroom. The kitchen is bright and spacious, fully equipped with all the comforts of home, including a stove, water cooler, dishwasher, and a full range of small appliances such as a blender, mixer, coffee maker, microwave, and toaster. A laundry area with washer and dryer is also available. The Blue House has everything needed for a truly enjoyable and memorable vacation. The Blue House feels completely private while still being conveniently located near shopping and local amenities. “The Plaza,” about 1.5 miles south, offers a liquor store, home goods store, and spring water refill station. Cockburn Town, approximately 2.5 miles away, features several larger grocery stores. For quick essentials, a small neighborhood market is just a short walk down the hill. We like to travel to the island with a soft cooler with our choice cuts of frozen meats because the island does lack in variety and is quite expensive when it comes to these provisions.
