Tidewatch: Light-filled river view home

Visit our spacious house in the peaceful and beautiful rural village of Hamburg (Eastern Cape). Large living/dining room with a fire place and 3 comfortable en-suite bedrooms. Watercraft available to borrow. The space Our house has space to breathe - just like Hamburg. The main upstairs and downstairs bedrooms have views of the river. The living room leads onto a large patio overlooking the estuary. The north-facing orientation means you get sunrise views out of the living room and sunset out of the main bedroom upstairs. The double volume and plenty of doors mean that the house doesn't get too hot. The stairs aren't the safest ever, so little people come at your own risk. However, we do have a gate we can set up at the bottom, which is what we used when our children were small, and there are two downstairs bedrooms, so you can potentially stay downstairs. The house has water tanks to make up for the erratic water supply in Hamburg. (Careful water use is a requirement, though!) There is limited internet, but no television and we highly recommend you come and switch off with books, boardgames and beach walks. Guest access Full house and garden available. Other things to note Hamburg is a small village located 1 hour away from Port Alfred or 1 hour away from East London. These are your nearest towns for shopping. There is a liquor store in Hamburg which sells basic goods but all major grocery shopping needs to be done before coming through to Hamburg. There is no petrol station so please check that you refuel your vehicle on the way.
