The space Step out of the city into the enchanting gated courtyard where a Blacksmith Shop from 1890 has been turned into a hybrid between a boutique hotel and intimate home. The property is filled with original industrial features, art, modern tech and Hygge design. HYGGE: Scandinavian art of creating the perfect conditions that lead to cozy and memorable moments. Gather around the floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace to connect, relax and experience the lodge feeling in the middle of downtown. Have a coffee on the roof deck and dining area as the sun rises over the Minneapolis skyline or a cocktail as the sun sets behind the Viking ship of neighboring US Bank Stadium. The studio off the private walled courtyard features an industrial dining / working table with enough space for everyone. The 96-inch TV provides a true cinema or epic game day viewing experience. The first floor houses all three guest bedrooms. Each room has a new queen memory foam mattress with Parachute sheets, flatscreen TVs and direct access to a bathroom. Upstairs, the primary bedroom w/ en suite and king bed features 130-year-old wood beams stained from the smoke of the long-removed blacksmith forge. Look outside the window and see the looming silhouette of the US Bank Viking ship. Or watch HBO/Netflix/Hulu/Apple TV (all signed in and ready to watch) from bed on the new 76-inch flatscreen. The chef’s built gourmet kitchen has Wolf stove, Sub-Zero refrigerator, prep station, wine fridge and high-end cookware to make and serve gourmet meals. Dine at one of four large tables; Rooftop, 2nd-floor living/dining room, the Forge studio or outside in the private courtyard. Or walk to dozens of the city's best restaurants, coffee shops and bars. While we encourage gatherings, Blacksmith House uses occupancy monitoring software to strictly enforce the total occupancy limit, including any visitors, to 10 people.
