Aangan - The Courtyard House

Nestled in the foothills of Sahyadri range, about two hours from Mumbai, this property is your go to place for a total detox. The Portuguese style house, built without any cement, is located in a two acre compound with more than 200 trees including cashew, mango, chiku, various spices and more. Wake up to the chirping of birds, go for a trek in the compound, or enjoy the beautiful sunrise, sunset and star gazing. The streams flowing down the hills during monsoons are a treat to watch. The space Kindly note that events and pre wedding shoots are not permitted here. Our exact location is Jambhulpada on Khopoli- Pali Road about max 90 mins from Navi Mumbai. This is about 30 mins from the Pali Ashtavinayak temple. About the same distance from Imagicaa. About 45-60 mins from Lonavala This is an independent villa in a two acre compound, built with sustainable materials and without any cement/concrete except for fixing of ceramic tiles on flooring and bathrooms. The foundation and some walls are built from stones found in our campus, the walls, columns and roofing are built with red laterite stone from Ratnagiri, wire cut bricks from Karnataka and Mangalore tiles. The mortar used was a mix of lime, jaggery and sand. The bedrooms walls are plastered with a mix of lime. All three bedrooms are air conditioned and there is a cooler in the living room. Fresh bed linen and towels are provided for every guest and these are replaced after two days ie if the guest is staying for three days or more. Facilities for serving food from a nearby restaurant is available. Our check in time is 2 pm and check out time is 11 am . With an Airtel tower near our place, mobile connectivity is excellent for those having an Airtel connection. However connectivity with Jio and Vodafone is a challenge. Unlimited wifi is available at speed of 5-10 mbps which is enough to work all gadgets and laptops. Wi fi cable is yet to reach here but we have arranged for wi fi through a sim operated router. Guest access The entire villa is available to you. Other than you and your group, there will be nobody else in the premises. There is a farmhand who lives with his family in the outhouse next to our compound gate. There may be some labourers engaged in cleaning during the day time. The caretaker lives outside and next to our property and is available most of the time on call. Other things to note This is a No Smoking property and our sincere request to guests to abide by this rule. Alcohol is permitted. Events and pre wedding shoots are strictly not permitted here.
