Shepherd's Rest | Cosy & modern countryside hut

Welcome to Shepherd's Rest, our bespoke shepherd's hut located in the peaceful Hamlet of Foy, 10 minutes from the market town of Ross-on-Wye, in the beautiful Wye Valley. Outside, relax on the spacious private deck and admire the stunning views of the River Wye. Inside, Shepherd's Rest has a comfy double bed, sofa, foldaway dining area, modern en-suite shower room with flushing toilet and a log-burner, perfect for those cold winter's evenings. A great location for exploring our fantastic county! The space Shepherd's Rest sleeps up to three adults (although two more comfortably), with a double bed and adjacent raised single bed, with storage underneath. All bed linen and towels are included. It has a gas combi-boiler which provides central heating and hot water throughout and a modern shower room, with a walk-in shower and flushing toilet. The central heating alone will be sure to keep you nice and toasty on those colder evenings, however the hut also has wood-burner for which we provide a selection of logs*, kindling and eco fire lighters in the autumn/winter months. The living area has a 2 seater sofa, fold down dining table (and 2 x chairs) and a 24" HD smart TV. The kitchen area is also complete with an induction hob, fridge (with small freezer compartment), kettle and toaster and a wide selection of utensils, salt and pepper and cooking oil. Excellent WiFi is also included! The hut is accessed via steps to the outside deck, with a small table, two chairs and a double egg swing chair. This is a great place to sit and enjoy one of our most favourite views of Foy and the River Wye! Guest access The hut is located in a private gated paddock which is accessed through a small, adults only, camping and caravan site. It has its own private parking space, located only a few short steps from the gate. Shepherd's Rest can be found in the small hamlet of Foy, around 10 minutes from the market town of Ross-on-Wye. Ross-on-Wye is located at the end of the M50, so easily reachable from around the country. This is a great place to relax and recharge your batteries, but also a fantastic base for those wanting to explore the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Cotswolds and beyond! Other things to note Shepherd's Rest is located on a working farm and has it's own private area sectioned off within a paddock, which is sometimes used for the farm's small herd of Herdwicks. Come and visit us in Spring to watch the lambs venturing out into the paddock, from the lambing shed! *In the winter months, we will provide enough logs for one evening. Additional can be purchased if required.
