Description
Our farm is located on the banks of the Broken River in the heart of the Goulburn Valley. Our house offers privacy and relaxation, making it a great choice for a special occasion, family holiday, or business trip. Home to a variety of wildlife, including blue wrens, king parrots, kookaburras, kangaroos, and a wallaby, and only minutes from town, the location is very peaceful and quiet, with only the occasional sound of birds and tractors. The space Our spacious farmhouse caters well for families and groups. It has several large living areas and a wonderful outdoor dining area, making it ideal for entertaining or enjoying a dinner outside whilst watching the sun set. Enjoy the views and sunset from the covered alfresco area, which also has a gas BBQ and seating, or sit around the fire-pit in the winter months under the stars. Our house is air-conditioned for hot summer days and has a wood fire heater for chilly winter days. Inside, the lounge is stocked with several board games and an assortment of books for guests to use. Out the back there is a fire pit that can be lit on non-windy days and outside of fire restriction season (Fire pit only available from 1 May through to 31 October). The farm is close to pubs, golf clubs, wineries, and many Silo Art towns. We are centrally located to many of the Goulburn Valley's highlights and only a short drive from Melbourne. Guest access There is ample parking in the drive and garage for 4-6 cars. Please don't park vehicles on the tracks or lawn as these tracks are used regularly by large farm machinery. If you love to fish, feel free to bring your rod as we are right on the Broken River. Other things to note As the property is a working cropping and sheep farm, pets are not allowed on the property. Guests are welcome to go for a walk but must ensure all gates are left as they found them. Depending on the season and amount of recent rain, the farm landscape can range from very green to very dry. Take care through Spring and Summer as there can be snakes around. Children must be supervised at all times. As it can get very hot and dry in the summer months we have a strict No Smoking policy anywhere on the farm. The yards are maintained on a weekly basis in Summer and fortnightly in Winter. Sprinkler systems are set for midnight through to 8am, so guests should be aware if they happen to be out stargazing at these hours. The farm has been in the family for over 100 years, so guests are asked to give the property the utmost respect and appreciate their time there. Pricing is based on full use of the house and 3 bedrooms and a maximum of 6 guests. For stays over 14 nights, there is a mid-stay cleaning at an additional cost.
