The space Our Gîte Blanc cottage has been lovingly created as a place to slow down, rest and reconnect with the simple pleasures of countryside living. Surrounded by peaceful nature and quiet country lanes, it’s an ideal escape for those seeking calm, fresh air and a gentler pace of life. This bright and spacious 4* cottage (80m²) combines comfort with authentic French charm. The open-plan living space overlooks the gardens, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere throughout the seasons. The well-equipped kitchenette allows you to prepare tasty, healthy meals using fresh organic vegetables from our garden, while homemade jams made from orchard fruits and fresh eggs from our hens are available for guests to enjoy. Upstairs, the original exposed oak beams add warmth and character to the two bedrooms. One bedroom features a new 160cm double bed with quality mattress, while the second room sleeps two, with two comfortable single beds — ideal for families or friends travelling together. The bathroom has recently been updated with a new shower unit. Outside, you’ll have your own large private terrace with brick-built barbecue, perfect for long outdoor meals, reading in the shade or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Many guests come here to properly switch off and recharge. There is excellent Wi-Fi if needed, but the real luxury is often the chance to disconnect for a while — whether that’s walking the quiet country tracks, cycling the safe rural roads on our complimentary electric bikes, relaxing by the pool or simply listening to the birdsong with a morning coffee. Guest access You will also have use of the shared on-site facilities including the swimming pool and games room/outdoor dining and barbecue area. This also provides a great shady spot on hot summer days. The 10m x 5m, saltwater swimming pool is surrounded by a large terrace offering both sunny and shady areas with lots of space for everybody. From the terrace there are lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Sun loungers and parasols are available and pool towels are provided. There are toilet facilities located near the pool. The open-sided garden room faces away from the gîte and offers a beautiful vista over the fields. Here you’ll find tables and chairs, and a further barbeque for communal use. You'll have ample space in the garden to relax, read a book or take a nap in the shade. When in season, the fruit from the orchard is available for guests to enjoy. There are adult bicycles available to use (free of charge) should you wish to venture a little further afield with local maps to borrow. Extra Bonus - Yoga & Pilates morning classes are available for a small fee of 10 euros each morning either in the yoga studio. You can also book in with Linda for a pampering Reflexology session = 40 euros. For your convenience, there is a laundry room on-site, separate from the gîte. Here you'll find a washing machine for guest use, with washing powder and conditioner provided. There is also an iron and ironing board. Enjoy free of charge during your stay the fruits and vegetables of our garden which are bountiful during the summer months especially. We also offer you fresh eggs from our hens, homemade jams from our fruit trees along with the odd homemade peach or apple tart. Other things to note We provide all bed linen, bath towels and pool towels, along with handmade artisan soaps and a selection of everyday essentials to help you settle in comfortably. The kitchen is stocked with a few basic staples on arrival, and all dishwasher and laundry products are included for your stay. Guests also have access to a separate shared laundry room with two washing machines, dryer and ironing facilities. We live on site and are always happy to help with recommendations or anything you may need during your stay, while fully respecting your privacy. Our house is separate from the guest accommodation and each cottage has its own private entrance and spacious outdoor terrace. Gîte Blanc is one of three independent holiday cottages at Gîtes de Source — two 2-bedroom gîtes and one 1-bedroom gîte — set within peaceful countryside grounds designed for relaxation, nature and slow living.
