In my opinion, the condo is definitely one if the nicest in West End. It is located right on the water in West End. It is not beach front, but located on a small inlet bay call Mangrove Bite. It has a dock, a swimming pool, a sunbathing deck, and lush landscaping that truly embodies our tropical location. It is 1600 square feet of indoor living area plus a 200 square foot balcony with a BBQ, table and chairs, and lounge chairs. It has 2 bedrooms with King Bed. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and glass doors that open onto the balcony. The second bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom. The third bedroom has a queen bed. The kitchen is great for cooking and is fully equipped. There is a large dining table and breakfast bar and the living room has a flat screen TV. There is a washer and dryer in the condo as well. It is a great area, very quiet, and safe. All of the house except for the owner's closet. We also provide a complementary concierge service for all of our customers. We can help you arrange tours, car rentals, diving, etc. I have been diving here for over 12 years and can recommend a dive shop that suits your needs. We do have frequent utility outages on Roatan. It's just part of our island life. So be prepared for the power and water to go out and for the internet to drop out from time to time. The best beach around for swimming and snorkeling, Half Moon Bay, is a 3 minute walk away. It is also close to at least 20 restaurants ranging from Argentinean to Thai to Honduran and several great bars. The rate for your dates does not include electricity. It does include all taxes, fees, wireless internet, and drinking water. Electricity is quite expensive on Roatan. So Instead of charging fees for laundry, A/C , and so forth, it is easier and fairer to charge to for electricity instead. We read the meter at check-in and check-out, subtract the allowance, and use the previous month's bill to determine the charge per kilowatt hour. This amount is deducted from your security deposit. We found that including electricity in the price made people want to get their money's worth by leaving the A/Cs constantly on at full blast and every light in the place on. Not only is it eco unfriendly, it meant we had to tack on an extra $200 / week to the rental rate. We have a fantastic year round breeze that comes straight through the apartment if you leave the windows open. If you are energy aware and only use the AC only at night, I would say the electricity will be around $10 - $20/ day. We are on an island off the coast of Honduras. We have frequent power, internet, and water outages that are outside of our control. It is the price of living in paradise. No refunds will be given in the event of any utility outages beyond our control.
