Description

Located high in the hill tops of the small village of Two Dales, only 15 minutes drive to nearby Matlock or 25 minutes to Bakewell. A stunning property with large open plan lounge / dining, several lounges, fabulous games room and wrap around gardens with far reaching views. Sleeps up to 18 in 8 bedrooms and 6 en suites or bathrooms Unfortunately this is a strict no dogs allowed property Fabulous family house, not a party venue. EV Charging station The space A spacious and striking property consisting of two buildings furnished to a very high standard offering home comforts to make your stay as comfortable as it can. Set in open countryside surroundings, with far reaching views from every angle of the garden. Whilst tucked away on the hillside leading from the village of Two Dales you are very close to the town of Matlock (15 minutes), Bakewell 25 minutes and Chatsworth (20 minutes) so the perfect base to explore this wonderful area. You enter the property into a large, light and airy hallway with wooden floor and a handy downstairs toilet leading from the hallway is the main social space with seating ideally placed in front of the log burner and TV with further comfy sofas tucked in the corner of the other end of this space makes it the perfect place to all come together at the end of the day to catch up before sitting down to eat. The dining area flows from this space where a large table that can seat up to 18 dominates the room with plush seating and feature fireplace. There is a door that opens to a patio area - so perfect for al fresco dining in those warm and sunny months. Also leading from the central hallway is the stylish and modern kitchen, well quipped with 2 dishwashers, range cooker, further oven, large floor to ceiling fridge and separate floor to ceiling freezer, plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware and a handy breakfast bar in the centre of the room. There are a further 2 lounges, great if the kids want their own space or you fancy a more cosy space to relax in rather than the large social space. There is a sitting room with a couple of sofas and a door leading tot he outside and you then walk through into a snug with a large corner sofa, gas log burner fireplace and TV. All the bedrooms are on the first floor in the main house and lead off from the central landing, there are 5 in total and all decorated with their own unique style. Bedroom 1 can sleep 4 with a choice to have the bed made as a super king double or split into twin beds and there are a set of full sized bunk beds the room has a shower en suite. Bedroom 2 can be a double or twin with shower room en suite. Bedroom 3 and 4 can be a double or twin set up and these share a bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, basin and toilet. Bedroom 5 is the smallest room but can be a double or twin and does have it's own shower en suite. Across from the main house is the annexe, on the ground floor you have a spacious hallway with large bathroom primarily used alongside bedroom 6 which is also on the ground floor. This is a spacious room that can be a king sized double or twin beds. There is a handy utility room which has a small kitchenette with fridge, microwave, kettle and sink. There are also 2 washing machines and 2 tumble dryers. On the first floor are 2 further bedrooms, bedroom 7 is a twin room only which may work best for children as the beds are set under the eaves, there is a shared bathroom with shower over bath, basin and toilet. Bedroom 8 can be a twin or double. The outside space is extensive and wraps around the property, a stunning cobbled driveway invites you to the property and the parking areas. There is a large flat lawn which is ideal for ball games, then further lawns leads you around to the front of the property that offers a small seating area which overlooks the valley. There is a lockable garage for bike storage which can hold up to 20 bikes, plus you also have an electric charging point for your vehicle which is free of charge. To the rear of the house in a separate stone building is the fabulous games room, a large room with pool table, table football, pinball machine, seating area with TV, Sony PS4, digital piano and a compact kitchen area with dishwasher, fridge, microwave and sink - there is also a separate w/c. There is a BBQ for your use when at the property which is charcoal and we do ask you to provide your own charcoal and lighting equipment, there is parking for 10 cars and there are 3 picnic benches that seat 6 guests on each in the gardens. There is a small bistro style table and chairs located to the rear of the annexe. Guest access You have exclusive use of the whole site Other things to note Each bedroom offer flexible options that can be made up as twins or doubles so you can pick and choose your layout to suit. You need to have made your request two weeks in advance as the beds cannot be changed upon arrival as there is no staff on site. We provide each guest with fresh towels. Hand soap and shower gel in the bathrooms. Plenty of private parking for up to 10 cars If you are looking for a relaxing stay in the Peak District with plenty of country pursuits but are not looking for a party venue, this is the ideal property for your stay. Unfortunately due to the location we cannot accept Hen/Stag groups. For the comfort of all guests, outdoor shoes are not generally worn on the carpeted area of the house, so don’t forget your slippers! Noise Policy - due to the quiet location, late-night noise must be confined to inside the building by 10 pm as neighbours are in close proximity. Please respect this. No fireworks, drones or Chinese Lanterns; you are on the edge of a National Park with wildlife and livestock close by. Wifi – we provide free wifi however, as the Peak District is in a beautiful rural location, sometimes there can be intermittent wifi signal that is beyond our control; we also hope you appreciate that we cannot guarantee wifi if there are technical issues out of our control. Please bring your own cot bed linen as this is not provided
