Quinta Das Flores

Quinta de Flores is immersed in the enchanted valley, next to the Rio Mondego, A 5 min walk away, where you can swim all day. Here you will find amazing wildlife such as otters, crayfish Mongoose and eagles that circle over head. It is a very tranquil place and if you just want to sit and mediate or love walking in nature then this is the place to be. There are lots of other activities in the local area to do , such as rock climbing, canoeing, horse riding, workshops and fun local tours. The space The apartment is semi circular, this comes from Fionas love of yurts and how amazing it felt to live in a home without corners! The original building was the snug and the back bedroom, which were just animal sheds, Now with addition of the studio bedroom just off the main living area, which still contains the original outdoor steps which can be closed off by curtains and the sofa converts to a double bed and two very comfortable single bed chairs in the snug area,followed through the door to back bedroom, the apartment comfortably sleeps 8 people. the Kitchen area is adjoined by a curving breakfast bar which comfortably sleeps 6 The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink, instructions on how to use the shower are with the welcome pack Outside, guests have use of a patio area which seats 8, all handmade furniture. and the bench at the end of the patio area where trees surround you, the view is of course yours to enjoy! Guest access parking, steps, patio, grass area in front, Other things to note Quinta das Flores is totally off grid, fed by water from the water mines on the property, fresh crystal clear spring water! run on solar power for the lights and sockets, we ask you are mindful of your useage. We also provide a compost bin outside for all your food waste, which will feed the wormery toilet and create fantastic rich chemical free fertilizer for the garden. We have achieved an A rating for the energy certificate which Fiona is very proud of. It does need to be noted that we are situated down down tracks, which off road takes 5 - 10 minutes, but dont need a 4x4 to drive down . they are solid dirt tracks that have been there for many many years.
