Shane, Kiki & Family Spread the Love💞 Happy travels!!🕊 ☮☮☮ © 🧐 Read On If You Wish:) Brief Property/Area, History/Culture The property was once part of a large farm which has been divided up over decades located on the narrow part of the North island between the east coast Pacific Ocean & west coasts Tasman Sea & across the road from one of the oldest historical terraced Māori pā sites named Muiata pā. Being one of the oldest sites found in the area & Aotearoa its Traditionally known as Motutengi the site is located in one of the country's largest Eco wetlands stretching from Kaimaumau to Houhora heads all the way up the coastline behind sandy dunes of beautiful east beach. Muiata pā is now fenced off and can be viewed from Motutangi Rd. When we purchased the property, it had fallen into state of disrepair so with determination & the help of many people coming together with their precious time, hard work & pride we brought the property back to its former self. After we started the renovations, we created so much attention from people stopping over who once played on the property as children over generations we've been so lucky to hear their life stories adding to the new revived spirit of the place along with their relations now enjoying the space. We've found out so much-loved history from local peoples with beautiful stories including one tale about one past owner who played classic movies with his vintage movie projector bringing peoples together showing his movies & would load it all into an old van and travel the area for people in far reached areas to enjoy, such an epic story.
