Tuolumne 1-Bedroom Suite at Gull Lake Lodge (#11)

Nestled below Reversed Peak, in between beautiful Gull Lake and June Lake, and within walking distance to downtown's restaurants, bars, and shops, Gull Lake Lodge is the perfect laid-back, cozy home base for your Eastern Sierras adventures! Come join us for bluebird skies, winter powder days, backcountry and resort access (June and Mammoth), basin and range expanses, friendly folks, and some of the best trout fishing in CA (nay, the world!). The space The Tuolumne One-Bedroom Suite is a private, motel-style suite equipped with a full kitchen, a King bedroom, a living room with a full futon, a full bath (including a combo tub-shower, toilet, and sink), and a dining nook. Enjoy our communal grills, and on-site parking. Guest access Guests have full access to their suite and motel-style front porch, as well as shared access to grills and on-site (uncovered) parking, and a small outdoor dining area. Enjoy! Other things to note Before you book, read on to make sure we’re the right fit for your outdoor adventure! We're new owners in the process of making some updates to the hotel, so despite what our current name suggests, we’re not situated right on Gull Lake. However, we are just a short walk down the street to its shores, the marina, the quaint lakeside park, and a great hiking trail around the lake. We love traveling with our doggos, but unfortunately, this suite isn’t pet-friendly (we try to avoid the sound of tippy-tapping paws for your downstairs neighbors). However, pets ARE welcome in suites #1-7, as well as our cabin (#16), and we’re happy to accommodate you and your furry friend there. While we do offer WiFi (and have a backup network in case of outages), we’re still in a small mountain town, which means the occasional storm may prevent connection. We don’t recommend planning to Zoom into any important meetings on-site, but let us know if you need any recommendations on local coworking/WiFi spots! For the safety of our guests, we maintain outdoor security cameras to monitor the hallways and stairways of the top and bottom floors (which include entrances to each suite), as well as the parking lot, picnic area, dumpster, and entry to the guest provisions room. This way, we can keep an eye on wildlife visits, fire risk, hazardous elements, and other safety protocols. Tioga Pass closes seasonally (typically sometime in November through late May or June, and periodically earlier or later depending on storm systems), during which time the only access to June Lake from the western Sierras is through the I-80 pass around Lake Tahoe or south of the Sierras near Los Angeles. You’ll want to build in extra driving time for fall, winter, and spring visits. Occasionally, Highways 395 (North-South route from LA to Reno) and 158 (June Lake Loop) will close due to heavy snowfall. During winter, please be advised to carry snow chains in your vehicle to comply with CalTrans chain requirements and potential inclement weather. Fire season typically falls between summer and early fall in the area, so air quality may be unhealthy during this time, particularly among sensitive groups.
