Public transport is excellent: RER C and Tram T12 from Épinay-sur-Orge reach central Paris in just 22 minutes. This is a quiet, characterful home – perfect for couples, families or anyone looking for a peaceful stay near the city. The space Charming 13th-century family home with plenty of room to spread out. The house is set over several levels, with multiple living areas and four distinct sleeping areas, making it comfortable for families, friends or small groups who want space and privacy. Inside, you’ll find: • Four separate sleeping areas, including two comfortable en-suite bedrooms, plus two additional sleeping spaces (see photos for layout) • High-speed Wi-Fi throughout the house, ideal for remote work, streaming and calls • Several places to relax or work: a cosy living room, a large dining table, quiet corners for reading, and outdoor seating in the garden • A fully equipped kitchen for home cooking • A private, enclosed garden for outdoor meals, morning coffee or an evening drink The house combines historic character (exposed stone, beams, original features) with modern comforts, making it easy to feel at home whether you’re here for a few days or a longer stay. You’ll also notice original South African artwork throughout the house by Basel-based artist Hedley Hawkins Snyman. Please enjoy the paintings. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire home, including: • The private garden • One on-site parking space next to the house • Additional free street parking approx. 50 metres away Please note: some bedrooms may be closed depending on the number of guests in your booking. If you have a preferred room or a special request, just let us know when you reserve and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Other things to note Neighbourhood & quiet The house is located in a historic farmstead now within a residential area. We are fortunate to have calm and respectful neighbours and we kindly ask guests to help us preserve this environment. Please respect quiet hours from 22:30 onwards. After this time, the garden and outdoor areas must not be used for gatherings or prolonged social activity. All conversations should be kept indoors at a low volume. During the day and evening, please keep noise in outdoor areas at a considerate level, particularly when using the garden. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Pets Pets are welcome on request. If you’re travelling with an animal, please let us know before booking so we can confirm and adjust the cleaning fee if needed. Smoking The house is non-smoking inside. Smoking is only allowed in the garden, using the ashtray provided and disposing of cigarette butts so the space stays clean. ⚡ Car Charging 7.4 kW EV charging available on site. Usage charged separately at cost-contribution rates. Air conditioning 2026: AC is available in the loft bedroom only. 2027: AC should be available as well in the two main bedrooms. AC will only be available during the summer months. Thanks to the house’s thick 13th-century stone walls, they generally remain cooler than many modern homes during the summer. 🚆 Weekend train engineering works (2026) On some weekends, planned engineering works may affect regional train services (RER C) serving Épinay-sur-Orge and journeys to/from Paris. Affected weekends: • 26/27 September • 3/4 October and 10/11 October • 21/22 November • 5/6 December Depending on the dates, some trains between Paris, Juvisy and the southern part of the RER C line will be suspended or partially replaced by buses. Longer journey times may apply. We recommend checking SNCF journey planners before weekend travel.
