Take a break and unwind in this mostly quiet cabin. Set on a quiet country road on a farm in the hills of Waipu. 7.9km to the Centre of Waipu that has a supermarket, chemist, cafes, hardware, museum 11km to Uretiti Beach, 17km to Waipu Cove, 4.9k to Piroa Falls, 10km to Waipu Caves. The owners live on the farm as it is a working farm. There will be the sound of motorbikes in the distance and you may see cows walking past or depending on the day of the month cows in paddock the by the cabin. The space The cabin is split into two areas a bedroom and a Kitchen/Bathroom, with a covered deck in between. The property is suited for a couple as it has 1 Queen size bed. A single mattress can be provided on request for an extra person to sleep in the same room on the floor, this would suit a child. We are unable to accommodate extra Adults. Fully equipped kitchen with a oven, hobs, microwave and fridge. The Bathroom and Kitchen run on Gas. We are currently having trouble with the wifi. Due to the location mobile reception can be unstable depending on the provider. Country living is quiet and peaceful but we do get un wanted flying pests. In the warmer months mosquitos can be rather large and annoying. Keep the doors closed in the evenings. We do recommend bringing insect repellant. Guest access Guests have this space to themselves. It is a working farm so there could be at times motorbikes going up and down a nearby race for farm related work but entering your space will not be required during your stay. We ask that guests remain within the cabin area. If guests do wish to go for a walk down the races please ask permission first. This is to comply with our Farm Health and Safety Policy. Other things to note The cabin is located 4.29kms up a narrow gravel road. Please take care when driving on the gravel especially if you are not use to driving on gravel as it is slippery, please take care. Due to the weather events we have had many roads are closed. Travel times in particular from Auckland to North are long. Be prepared that it could take an extra 1 hour to get to our road. Maps on the phones are not always correct, roads that are closed are not always shown on maps.
