Newly renovated 600 sq. ft. totally private space offers tranquility and glorious Pacific Northwest nature 24/7. Sip coffee on your covered brick patio as you enjoy eagles soaring overhead, seals and (if you're lucky) orcas splashing in the bay, stunning sunsets, and sea breezes. Peaceful, comfortable island living in a true Pacific Northwest paradise! The space Our guest apartment is located in the lower level of our midcentury modern home on the beautiful private island community of Raft Island. You will have use of the entire private guest apartment for yourself. We are away traveling during your stay so you will have a private, quiet stay. The guest apartment consists of 2 generous rooms + bathroom. The large front room with huge views of the Sound and Cutts Island has a queen bed, sitting area, dining table for 4, full kitchen and reading nook with armchair. The second bedroom has a king bed and sound view as well. The bathroom has a shower. You will also have use of our washer and dryer for the time of your stay. It is in the laundry room located next to the guest apartment. There is a private entrance into the guest apartment from the covered private patio a few steps from your own driveway with room to park 2 cars. The entrance and patio lead out into our entirely fenced yard with gardens, flowers, and a play structure and sandbox for kids to enjoy. If you are traveling with children, we can provide a highchair, changing table, portable crib, and books and toys for children. Just let us know! Attached to the mainland of Gig Harbor by a short bridge, Raft Island feels like a peaceful paradise tucked away from the hustle of modern life, but is also super conveniently located. Historic Gig Harbor, Costco, grocery stores, movie theaters and restaurants are 10-15 minutes drive away. Tacoma is 25 minutes away. Seattle is 1 hour away. Guest access You will have access to the guest apartment plus the laundry room, your own driveway and covered patio + the fenced yard. Other things to note This is a private island community, so you will find it to be a safe, peaceful and beautiful stay. Due to island rules, guests do not have access to the island's beaches or docks. You are welcome to walk the island roads and enjoy the views. Kopachuck State Park has a nice beach and is a mile away. There are many other public beaches we can recommend. Gig Harbor has lots to do and we can share all the best places to eat, drink, and enjoy nature and the quaint local town of Gig Harbor.
