This second-floor cottage apartment is within walking distance of the harbor, shops and restaurants of historic Blue Hill. It's perfect for a quiet, local retreat or a launch pad to explore the beautiful Maine coast – from Barred Island Preserve in Deer Isle to Acadia National Park. During your stay, you can pick your own adventure – from hiking, swimming, or kayaking, to gallery-hopping, sight-seeing or attending local events. The space It's an open kitchen-living room with a gas fireplace, kitchen table and spot to relax and read. If you're looking to cook, the fully equipped kitchen is ready for you. The large carpeted bedroom has a queen-sized bed, with comfortable linens and pillows and a large walk-in closet. There's also a washer and dryer available for your use. Sit on the private deck with a lovely view of the woods. Recent wildlife sightings include deer, bobcat, turkeys, hawks and many songbirds. It's not uncommon to hear barred owls calling at night. Guest access You have access to the entire second floor, garage and deck. Other things to note Most guests make day trips to Acadia National Park, but, please note, it takes at least 45 minutes to get there, and it will likely take longer during the busy summer months.
