Cozy 3-bedroom cottage steps away from the water.
Step out the front door to take in the view of and feel the refreshing breeze off of the Choptank River. Built in the late 1800s and nestled in Cambridge's Historic District, our home is a perfect mix of original architectural character and modern upgrades, and a short walk to the Marina, historic monuments, and downtown which is lined with restaurants, boutiques, galleries and so much more. You will be close to everything Cambridge has to offer when you stay at this centrally-located home. Our house is the perfect mix of historic charm with modern comforts. The decor intentionally includes old and new to honor the age of the house and its upgraded features. The decor gives nods to the rich cultural history and past industries of Cambridge and the eastern shore region. The house has an abundance of windows, allowing natural light to shine through in every room. All three bedrooms are spacious, each touting its own vibe. The reading room/office is the perfect space for those who are working remotely and need a comfortable quiet space to work without interruption. The den is another space in the house where you and your guests can entertain yourselves, perhaps by watching some TV or maybe spinning vinyl on the record player. The dining room table accommodates at least six people, and even more once you add the extension leaf, for when you host your family dinner. It's also a great space for game night! Whether you're enjoying a cup of coffee or a good book, the back porch is the perfect spot, with the sounds of birds as the score. We've designed this house to feel like your home away from home, a place to unplug. You can access all parts of the house, except the attic. Located in Cambridge's Historic District, our home is nestled in a neighborhood that boasts beautiful 19th and 20th century residential houses, tree-lined streets, the sounds and sights of countless bird species, and views of the Choptank River and the variety of watercrafts that sail by every day. Just a short walk to the Marina, historic monuments, and downtown which is lined with restaurants, boutiques, galleries and so much more. What's great about our house's location, and one of the many things we love about it, is how short of a walk it is to the Marina, historic monuments and markers, restaurants, and entertainment venues. We strongly recommend taking long walks through the neighborhood, along the Marina and down "Main Street." That said, food (grocery and restaurant) delivery service is barely existent, so you probably will need to drive to grab groceries, or more importantly to get local seafood, including the must-have local blue-shell crabs :)
