The Funk Jungle is an innovative community for like-minded individuals who want to discover what Miami has to offer through a free, open oasis where guests can get to know each other while respecting each others' boundaries. Whether you are a temporary visitor, a freshly arrived transplant or a digital nomad, take part of a unique experience and live in a lush, artsy environment, in a central and walkable location that opens the doors to so many of Miami opportunities. The space Your mountain-themed bedroom is furnished with a double queen bed, an office desk, nightstand, dresser, closet, 43" smart TV, small fridge with freezer section. Bathroom is shared with one other guest room and includes a bathtub and basic toiletries. The house is meant to be an open, lush, artsy and colorful co-working/co-living space which also allows guests to socialize in a friendly environment. Common parts include a foyer, a dining room with breakfast area, a kitchen and a living room with shared TV. A washer+dryer unit is on premise with free laundry detergent (Puretergent). Office desks scattered around the commons and fast, reliable WiFi (AT&T 1GB Fiber), in addition to private desks in each bedroom, allow guests to work from home easily. The property includes a fenced, green backyard with large tropical fruit trees providing some much needed shade, and a covered patio to relax. The backyard is lit with beautiful colorful lights at night. The 18ft (almost 6m) round above-ground pool is temporarily closed. Free parking is available on property on request and plenty of free parking is also available in the street in front of the property. Guest access You will be able to access your private bedroom, a shared bathroom, all the common indoor areas (including kitchen) and the backyard. Other things to note House Rules: - Quiet hours enforced between Midnight and 8AM. - The neighborhood is animated and can get fairly loud at times. Especially, outdoor church services on occasion can get loud in the late morning (after 10AM). If you are looking for a completely silent place, this place isn't meant for you. - Please do not interact with or bother neighbors. If any issue with neighbors please contact host immediately. - We sometimes have house parties or events on the weekends (outside of quiet hours), a great way to interact with others and experience local Miami culture. - Please note there are 2 cats living in the house and other animals such as chickens, peacocks, squirrels, possums, and iguanas may be seen wandering in the backyard. Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis and must be discussed before booking. - Tobacco smoking only allowed in the backyard. Medical consumption of cannabis is permitted on premise. Firearms are not permitted. - AC is centralized and kept around 72 - 76F (22 - 24C). Ceiling fans are installed in all rooms.
