The logs were numbered, transported to our property and reassembled. HISTORY: The Phillips cabin (named for its founding family) was originally built in Bulls Gap, Greene County, Tn (then Greene County, NC) circa 1790. This cabin was in the Phillips family for many years and W.W. Phillips, State Assemblyman (known today as State Congressman) resided in this home through the 1930's. It is a full 2 story cabin built with oak logs. LOCATION: 5 miles from Pigeon Forge, Tn off Wears Valley Road. Off the beaten path, this gravel road will take you up the mountain (don't worry, the steepest part is paved) to a beautiful meadow. Convenient to the tourist attractions of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, a short drive to Smoky Mountain National Park but secluded enough that you can here a car driving in from a mile away.
