Greenfern lies in the Knysna Forest & is the perfect spot for adventure seekers. We're surrounded by hiking & mountain biking trails. Keen birdwatcher, we have plenty. Our Lodge has 6 comfy en-suite bedrooms & we can host up to14 guests. With a fully equipped kitchen, cozy lounges, a Boma firepit, fireplace & swimming pool, you don't need much more. The Saturday Market offers delicious breakfasts and plenty local organic produce. Plett and Knysna are both a mere 25 min drive away. The space Embraced by the tranquil Knysna Forest, Greenfern Lodge stands as a serene blend of rustic charm and nature's bounty. Every step inside reveals a rustic and earthy elegance, echoing the surrounding Forest and gardens. Our 6 en-suite bedrooms radiate comfort, each echoing the sounds and sights of the forest. Lined and towels are provided. The heart of the lodge is a fully-equipped kitchen, alongside an inviting dining space and two intimate lounges. Gather around the boma fire pit for stories under the stars, or spark up the braai area for a traditional South African culinary experience amidst nature. Outside, you can bask on the patio, lounge on the veranda, or take a rejuvenating dip in our pool. A picturesque pond enhances the landscape, attracting an abundance of birds, providing a melodic backdrop to your stay. With ferns unfurling at every turn, Greenfern Lodge promises a retreat into nature, where every moment is a symphony of forest whispers and avian songs. Our expansive gardens, shaded by towering trees, create the perfect backdrop for leisurely picnics and nature-filled relaxation. Guest access Guests are welcome to immerse themselves in the entirety of the Greenfern Lodge, from the warm indoor spaces like the lounges and dining area to their designated bedrooms. The expansive gardens, idyllic picnic spots under towering trees, boma fire pit, braai area, and the calming pond are all at your disposal. Beyond the gardens, guests are encouraged to wander the forest footpaths, immersing themselves in nature's serenity. Do note, specific utility areas or storage rooms may remain off-limits.
