Room 1, Great Langdale Bunkhouse

Situated amidst some of the finest mountain scenery in England, with immediate access to the fells, Great Langdale Bunkhouse offers world class mountain biking, road cycling, walking, climbing, fell running and wild swimming. We provide clean, welcoming, good value accommodation. The rooms are simple but comfortable with a double plug socket, kettle, mugs and a fridge. We supply hot, powerful, showers run off a biomass heating system, sourcing our water from the local Ghyll. The space The bunkhouse is simple but clean, warm and comfortable. We are an independent hostel, aimed at providing walkers, climbers and other adventurers an affordable place to lay their head. Please note, we are a basic bunkhouse, not a hotel or a BnB. We do not allow stag or hen parties or alcohol on the premises. There is a pub opposite for a casual drink and something to eat after a hard days adventures, but no drinking is allowed on the premises. The room itself has 2 bunk beds, a chair, a double plug, a kettle and a fridge. The price is per room, which is private and not shared. Clean bedding is provided and is placed folded on the bed. Guests are required to put it onto the bed themselves and at the end of their stay, they are required to strip the bed. The bathrooms are shared with other guests, with separate facilities for male and females. There are hot, powerful showers, toilets, sinks and mirrors. Please note that there are no cooking facilities or communal area in the bunkhouse. There is a pub which is 50m away (the New Dungeon Ghyll). Other things to note The bunkhouse caters to adventurers, such as walkers, climbers, cyclists and wild swimmers. We do not accept stag and hen parties.
