The Farmhouse in the Woods

Welcome to The Farmhouse in the Woods! This luxury 2 story small home is located on our family’s 25 acres in rural “Deep” East Texas. The Farmhouse is located right outside of the small town of Atlanta. This is a great place to unplug and get back to nature. Relax on the back porch, have a campfire, grill out, fish, or walk some of the trails. Create memories with your family while getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is Wifi. Dogs are allowed for additional charge. The space The Farmhouse is a 2 bedroom 1 bath home. Downstairs is the master bedroom which has a queen size bed and the upstairs loft has 2 twin size beds. The home sleeps 4 but can add 2 additional people for an extra fee. There is a queen size air mattress in the closet for added sleeping arrangements if needed.  There is a full size kitchen with all working appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with any dishes you may need and there are snacks and drinks available. There is a full size washer and dryer. The walk in shower has been recently updated with a new seat in the shower. Starlink Wifi is available and works well. There is a Blu-Ray player and DVDs available. There are games, puzzles, and books available. There is a pond on the right side of the property where guests can go fishing or if guests want to explore the trails around that area. Fishing equipment is provided in the storage bin on the back porch. There is a firepit and grill in the backyard if guests would like to relax around a fire and watch the sunset. This home may not be suitable for toddlers due to the staircase and railing on the second story. There are 3 outside/inside cats that sometimes roam around. There are also 3 dogs on the property, the husky stays on a leash because she is a runner but the 2 labs roam freely. The dogs have a tendency to bark but besides that they are the sweetest things ever. Guests are more than welcome to pet and love on any of the animals on the property. Guest access Guests have access to the Farmhouse as well as its front and backyard. Guests also have access to the pond and trails to the right side of the property. Please be mindful that there are 2 families living on this property. Hosts live in the home to the right of the driveway (next door to the Farmhouse), so if guests need anything Hosts are available. The other family lives in the back left side of the property. Guests do not have access to the garage next to the Farmhouse, any other buildings on the property, the pool, or the dirt driveway on the left side of the property that goes back to the other house. Other things to note The Farmhouse is approximately 10 minutes from Chateau South (a popular wedding venue in Atlanta). It is also about 37 minutes from Texarkana, 36 minutes from Jefferson, 1 hour from Shreveport, LA, 10 minutes from Highway 77, and 30 minutes to I-30. This East Texas area has tons of opportunities to get back to nature such as the Daingerfield and Atlanta State Parks, Wright Patman Lake, and Spring Lake Park.
