Stunning modern private room with private entry and private bath, elevated above Mountain Mesa just two minutes from Highway178, the travel corridor connecting Death Valley to the Sequoia National Park. The Wild and Scenic Kern River and Lake Isabella is minutes away where white-water rafting, fishing and opportunities to hike, bike and explore abound. Come and enjoy the expansive mountain and lake views from our large front porch as you soak up the peace and quiet of our small community. The space Sequoia-Haus and Kern River Retreat is located in a rural mountain community engaged in ranching and tourism and sits on 3 acres surrounded by pine and oak trees as well as wildlife like deer, bear, bobcats, gray foxes, coyotes, hawks, owls, eagles, etc. The neighbors surrounding us are far enough away yet close enough to watch horses playing nearby in our neighbor's corrals. We are located approximately 1.5 miles from a hospital, grocery store, gas station, two restaurants (American Cafe and Mexican Food) a pharmacy, dentist, rural health clinic, hardware store, liquor store and bowling alley which serves food and possibly your favorite drink. A popular steakhouse/seafood restaurant, called Paradise Cove, is located "just around the corner". This restaurant is elevated which provides expansive views of the mountains surrounding the southeastern portion of the waters of Lake Isabella, it's simply satisfying...so is the cheesecake. Guest access Backyard, patio and front porch. During your stay My name is Wendy, call me if you need something. Other things to note We have 2 granddogs. They are corgis. They are at our home quite a bit and will most likely greet you when you arrive. If that is going to be a problem for you please let me know so I can make other arrangements for them.
