Cobb Cottage is a Victorian end-of-terrace cottage, nestled in a quiet country lane, just a stone’s throw away from the centre of the pretty village of Charlton Horethorne, which boasts both a fabulous village shop and a gastro pub! With its sumptuous king-size bed, this Grade II listed cottage offers a wonderfully peaceful spot for a romantic getaway, a practical base for hiking or cycling around South Somerset and North Dorset, or the perfect base for a couple looking to explore and unwind. The space Cobb Cottage is beautifully cosy, Victorian, 2-up, 2-down cottage. Downstairs, you'll find a practical kitchen, with an electric oven, washer/dryer, coffee machine, toaster and microwave, plus a cosy sitting room, with its open fire, a comfy sofa and armchair, and a dining table and chairs. Upstairs there is a double bedroom, with an extremely comfortable king-size bed, and beautiful views over the fields and hills beyond, plus a generous bathroom, which has a bath with a shower over it. As with many cottages, the stairs are rather steep, so please bear this in mind if you have mobility issues. Just behind the cottage is a 'washhouse', which is perfect for storage of bicycles if needed, and which also houses a spare fridge and freezer, in case guests run out of space in the fridge in the kitchen. The washhouse also houses a second toilet and shower. Guests have sole use of the entire cottage, as well as the washhouse, plus the pretty rear garden, which has ample seating for alfresco lunches, as well as sun loungers and a bbq. There is a driveway for parking, plus additional on-street parking. Guest access The keys are stored in a key-safe, so guests can arrive and leave whenever they like. Other things to note Cobb Cottage is at the end of a terrace of cottages. These cottages all share access to the footpaths that run in front of and behind the properties, as well as the path that runs to the gardens behind the cottages. Each cottage has its own back garden, and the garden belonging to Cobb Cottage is private, secluded, and for the sole use of its guests, but the path running to this garden is shared with the residents of the other cottages.
