The Farmhouse , Forest Glen

The Farmhouse is 30 minutes from the Yarmouth where Bay Ferries The Cat docks. The farm house with a great view of Parr Lake in Forest Glen. Located between Weymouth and Yarmouth on Hwy 340 and centrally located in between the Acadian Shores. A short trip across the province and your in Shelburne. A very peacefully spot to use as travel hub. Great fishing spots near by and public ATV trail system nearby. *We have now have a heat pump/AC for a comfortable stay The space The Farm is a great central spot to do some exploring from. A short 1/2 hour drive and you can be in Yarmouth , or Weymouth, beautiful beaches. Hidden treasure like New France. There is also some of the best Bass Fishing in Nova Scotia in Parr Lake just accross the road so pack a fishing rod, or pull in your boat there is a launch site nearby. A trip with a NS guide can be arrranged for Canoe, kayak or walking adventure Super excited that UNESCO Southwest Nova Biosphere http://swnovabiosphere.ca/has been added to UNESCO destinations. We are located on the western edge of this nature preserve. Guest access The entire house is avaiable , with lots of parking space. There are public ATV trails that can be accessed from near the Farm house . Through the K & L Annis Rd you can reach the old railbed and from there the possibilites for exploring are endless. There is a large yard with lots of parking for campers and trailers. Other things to note This family owned Farmhouse has been in our family for well over 100 years. The farmhouse has 1 bedroom on the main level and 2 bedrooms on the second floor and a small half bath. The stairs are typical for an Farmhouse and quite steep The view up accross Parr lake is incredible , we have the some the darkest skies in Nova Scotia . There is WIFI with an android box / TV . There is a telephone onsite with unlimited Canada US calling . Great reception for Messenger calling. As well as wifi calling. Please set your wifi calling up prior to arriving. There is a propane BBQ provided for guest to use. There are some lawn chairs in the closet . There are lots of board games in the cabinet. There are a few games and books for children as well. An outdoor table tucked under the veranda for outside dining. There is a fire pit that guests are welcome to use, if fires are permitted. Reach out to request firewood . 🪵 Yeah !
