Graceland Country Retreat

Graceland Country Retreat is situated on a farm, 10km's from the centre of Grahamstown. Suitable for groups or individuals looking for a peaceful, country getaway, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, cycling or simply relaxing. The house is completely off grid. Sparkling spring water is supplied to the house and fills the indoor solar heated pool. Evening sunsets are spectacular. The space is ideal for family gatherings. It is also suitable as a retreat centre. The space The first bedroom would suit the group coordinator (whether that be parents, teachers or special guests). It has two comfortable single beds and has an adjoining bathroom. The second and third bedrooms each have a bunk and two single beds. These bedrooms can each accommodate 4 people. The fourth bedroom has three bunks and a singe bed and can accommodate 7 people. There are an additional 2.5 bathrooms, which together supply three showers with hot water. The kitchen is well equipped and has adequate crockery and cutlery for up to 20 guests. For cooking, there is a gas oven and hob. There is also an inside braai and wood stove. Catering can be arranged on request. Guest access Guests have full and private access to the entire 230 hectare farm. The only other permanent residents are a herd of Nguni cattle. There are also some wild animals that come and go as they please, including warthogs, baboons and various antelope. Since the farm adjoins Pumba Private Game Reserve, one can often hear the sounds of Lion and Hyena in the evenings. Owls are frequent visitors. Other things to note To reach Graceland Country Retreat , guests will need to travel 4km's along a gravel road.
