Next to the castle is a lovely park with children's play area and a spectacular view of the Maiella Mountains. Palmoli boasts a beautifully decorated 18th-century church dedicated to St. Valentine. Outside the walls is the Convent of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, built in Baroque style and still a pilgrimage destination today. With just a 25-minute drive, you can reach the coast and the city of Vasto with its beautiful beaches of Vasto Marina and the beautiful "Punta Aderci" Nature Reserve, an uncontaminated place with enchanting bays and coves and a crystal clear sea. Here you can savor typical Abruzzo seafood dishes in typical restaurants in the city or on the "Trabocchi", typical restaurants suspended over the sea.
