The perfect location to experience the city. The APARTMENT This old house was recently renovated and decorated preserving the original plan, with modern and very comfortable decor. A large windows in the living room lets in the famous Lisbon light. The apartment, with direct access from the street, comprises a bright living room, a double room, a kitchen and a small bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped including coffee maker, toaster and kettle. Bathroom is a small but a functional one, and has everything you may need (including hair dryer). The apartment is on the ground floor with direct access from the street, with only 3 steps, making it of very easy access. This eighteenth century building was completely renovated in 2007 and awarded a prize for its historic facade. As a result, and since windows have to maintain their old style, the apartment is not fully isolated, as the windows do not completely seal. ACCESS The apartment location is excellent: . the famous tram No. 28 is almost at the doorstep; the tram stop is just 3 minutes walk. Tram 28 goes through most of the major tourist sites: Graça, Alfama, Baixa, São Jorge Castle ...,. . 5 minutes walk from the subway; . 10/15 minutes walk to the train station bound for the beach / Cascais or Belém; . 15/20 minute walk to the train station bound for Sintra - this fairy tail village is UNESCO World Heritage Site; Basically, this is a very central area with easy access to various transportation networks, either walking or by tram. Best of all, in a very quiet street where you can relax to the sound of birds. And if you are a walker, you can leave home and easily discover Lisbon walking to some of the best tourist spots (Principe Real – 10/15 minutes, Rossio – 10/15 minutes, Baixa Pombalina – 10/15 minutes, Saint Jorge Castle – around 30 minutes, Alfama – around 30 minutes,..). Get off in Baixa-Chiado station, take the exit Lg Chiado (Chiado Square). Around 40 minutes. Gogle Maps sends you to a further station, do not follow. GETTING THERE BY CAR In historic areas car access is restricted to residents. However, just down the street, some 120 meters from the building, there is a public parking that charges € 13,05 per day.
