Pet-Friendly Ski Cabin in Truckee

The space Our cabin features: 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. > 2 x bedrooms with a King size bed > 2 x bedrooms with a Queen size bed > 1 x bathroom with walk in shower > 1 x bathroom with bathtub (and shower) > For remote workers - each bedroom has its own desk and office chair! Internet access in all rooms! Our large open plan living area with high ceilings and plenty of natural light is perfect for a family or group of responsible friends. The kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances, large modern quartz counters, and all the pots and pans you'll need for large group cooking. Our dining table can seat 8 comfortably - great for all of those holiday meals! Watch a movie on our 55 inch Roku TV, where you can log into your own streaming services, or take a look at our growing board game collection to keep the whole group entertained when you are home from exploring all that the surrounding North Lake Tahoe area has to offer! Our location truly is the best of all worlds: quiet and peaceful, yet close to everything you would want for your perfect vacation! We are located in the quiet, family-friendly Prosser Lakeview Estates neighborhood of Truckee. This neighborhood features classic cabins for a traditional Lake Tahoe experience with gorgeous mountain views. The cabin is located right opposite the trailhead of a great mountain biking / hiking trail, which is ploughed in the winter. The neighborhood is home to great trails, fishing, hiking and biking! * 7.5 miles from Northstar Ski resort (~12 min drive without traffic) * 14.5 miles from Palisades Ski resort (~ 20 min drive without traffic) * 5.5 miles from Donner Lake (~ 9 min drive) * 2 miles from Downtown Truckee where you will find plenty of great restaurants, bars, grocery stores and trinket shops (~ 5 min drive) * 14 miles from King's Beach on Lake Tahoe (~20 min drive) We cannot wait to welcome you for a wonderful stay! Guest access You will have complete and exclusive access to the property. Other things to note IMPORTANT INFORMATION / RULES FOR BOOKING THE CABIN - PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY BEFORE BOOKING - NUMBER OF GUESTS. We have 4 bedrooms and can sleep 8 adult guests. City of Truckee rules permit 10 individuals on the property at any one time excluding children under 13. - PARKING. There is NO garage. A maximum of 4 cars may park at the property which MUST be parked on our driveway. NOTE - the driveway has an steep incline. Trucks and SUV will not have an issue but other cars will need to drive up slowly to avoid bottoming out. Due to City regulations, absolutely NO street parking is permitted. - STAIRS. We are a traditional cabin with a LOT of stairs to the entrance. There are about 20 stairs from the driveway to the lower entrance, through our storage / mudroom, and about 40 stairs from the driveway to the main entrance on the upper deck. If anyone in your party has issues with walking up a lot of steps we do NOT advise booking our home. - NOISE. Our cabin is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Quiet hours (absolutely no music) are between 10PM and 7AM. Neighbors have a 24/7 hotline which they can call to report ANY noise complaints. This is NOT a party house and any complaints from neighbors will result in immediate eviction and fines. - TRASH. Absolutely NO trash or debris can be left outside of the property. All trash must be left INSIDE of the 2 bins in the designated bear box. The city takes this rule extremely seriously due to bear / wildlife activity in the area. If any trash is left outside guests may face fines from the city of Truckee. - SEPTIC. The house runs on a septic system which requires special attention to use of bathrooms, laundry and the kitchen (e.g. no oil down the drain). Instructions explaining appropriate usage are included in our house manual and in the relevant spaces. - A/C. Note that each bedroom and the main living room is outfitted with a ceiling fan. We do NOT have air conditioning. - DOGS. Guests are allowed to bring dogs but will require an additional $100 per dog, per stay. This will be reflected in the price of the stay if you add your dog to the reservation. If you do not add your dog(s) to the reservation but end up bringing your dog, we reserve the right to charge you separately for this. We will do a deep clean after every guest that brings a dog to ensure those that have allergies are not affected. ---- IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR LONG TERM STAYS (28+ DAYS) For stays of 28 days or more, utilities (gas, water, electric, internet) will be charged for your whole stay separately. In the winter you will also be responsible for paying for driveway snow plowing.
