Relax with family at our peaceful paradise on the river. Our home sits on a huge garden right on the Arroyo Solís Grande. Especially tall trees provide ample shade and lots of pine cones for starting the BBQ or fireplace! With direct access to the river and a private dock, you can enjoy river activities, or walk 500m to the beach. Enjoy the sunset from the enclosed or outside terraces while you enjoy your Uruguayan BBQ! A modern kitchen and multiple living rooms make it perfect inside or out. The space An enormous green garden with lots of open space surrounds the house, allowing you to soak in the peaceful ambience while lounging on the patio. Tall hedges ensure your privacy while watching the river or the sun setting over the sea. Inside you'll find a well equipped kitchen with all the amenities of a loving home, multiple living spaces, four bedrooms with amazing mattresses and locally handcrafted beds. Air conditioning and heating will keep you comfortable in any season, and remote controlled black-out window blinds give you ultimate control! Each bedroom has a custom made mosquito net providing you with protection without sacrificing comfort. The cool riverside shower allows you to rinse off when you get back from the beach or river, and our home has a hot water shower and a guest toilet around the outside of the house, for when you come back from the beach, or are just enjoying a BBQ on the patio. Eat breakfast on the patio overlooking the river, and then enjoy a BBQ there in the afternoon as you watch the amazing sunset! The shaded carport fits up to three cars. Guest access Take advantage of the 4000 SQ meter garden to relax on the garden furniture, play a game of football, or climb up the treehouse for some adventure - or just an amazing place to watch the sunset! A custom wooden gate gives you direct access to the river and your own private dock. There are many fun activities available locally, such as kayaking, SUP, vineyard tours, etc. Choose to grill out in the garden BBQ area amongst the tall trees, or step right outside the house onto the patio and grill in comfort and style on our second BBQ area! Electric sun shades will keep you cool lunching on the patio, or dine inside on the glassed-in terrace! Other things to note Our family uses the river access gate to enjoy boating and other water sports, so if you see one of us crossing the far end of the garden, feel free to come up and chat! The water toys near the gate belong to our family, please be respectful of our property. We do our best to support local businesses, so you'll notice lots of local handcraft around the house. Though the house was built in 1960, it was renovated recently, adding modern touches and amplifying the space. The kitchen was fully renovated by a local carpenter, with beautiful wood throughout, and the beds were made by local carpenters and blacksmiths.
