In our house you will have a private room and share the bathroom with us. We are Kim and Lars and our friendly cat and dog. We respect your privacy but also appreciate chatting with you. We might be able to give you some ideas and assistance when planning your stay?! Enjoy a brief moment in a family environment that is Swiss and international at the same time. Looking forward to host people from all over expanding our horizon with you. Welcome to our home. :-) The space Get some rest in your private room with a comfortable queen size bed. The house is situated in a rural area - close to hills and a river in a small, tipical village, 1 hour away from the big mountains and at the same time just 15 min (train) away from downtown Bern. Guest access You will have acces to a shared bathroom and a private bedroom. The room can be locked from the inside only. We will be here to welcome you. Other things to note > 8 min. by foot from the trainstation > 15 min. trainride to downtown Bern > calm, kids friendly area (playground in front of the house) > excellent place to go cycling (flat or uphill) > no car parking at house - paid parking at train crossing (5min on foot) TRANSPORTATION - Please note: CAR--------------Parking is not easy in Belp. There's unfortunately no parking spot for you at our house. However, there are paid parking spots in 5 min. walking distance. Prices are: first 3 hours for free and then every next hour CHF 0.50 TRAIN--------------A day pass for the train getting into Bern and back will be around CHF 16.00 (June 2025). With that you can go to Bern and use the public transport in Bern as well. If you come by train I recommend you to download the SBB App (Schweizerische Bundesbahnen) that will show you timetables and fares (sometimes reduced "saver tickets") for your train ride. If you buy a train ticket / SBB ticket it will include apart from the train also alternative public transportation on the same journey (few exceptions) - trams, busses and also ships (for example on lake Thun). Ask at the trainstation - or me - I will also be more than happy to try to help!
