The Carob Tree House

La Maison du Caroubier is a unique home in a magical setting! Facing the vineyards of Montrachet, this unusual accommodation invites you to discover bioclimatic architecture made from natural and healthy materials. The house was designed and imagined to offer a timeless stay. It is surrounded by a large garden where you’ll find the emblematic tree of the place: the carob tree. 🌿🍃 The space The house offers three bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom and dry toilet. Each room has independent access to the garden. “The Vineyard Room” (upstairs): 1 double bed and 2 single beds, private dry toilet, a large stone shower & sink. Desk. Private terrace with an incredible view of the vineyards. Two outdoor armchairs on the terrace. “The Architects’ Room” (upstairs): 1 double bed, shower & sink, private dry toilet. Desk. Private terrace with an incredible view of the vineyards. Two outdoor armchairs on the terrace. “The Cherry Tree Room” (ground floor): 1 double bed, large stone shower & sink, private dry toilet. Small terrace without railing, about 50 cm above the ground. The house is equipped with hot water, heating, and air conditioning. A living space with lounge, dining table, and kitchen with a small and a large refrigerator. Wood stove and accessories provided to make a nice fire in winter. Outdoors: a very large garden (2,500 m²) with outdoor furniture and a barbecue (charcoal and fire starters provided). The entire garden is fully enclosed with stone walls. The whole house is built with wood and natural materials! The ground floor has Comblanchien stone flooring, while the upstairs has wooden floors partially covered with Japanese tatamis. Good to know: the air conditioning is fully powered by photovoltaic panels. Ventilation flow can be easily adjusted if needed. Heated towel rails are installed in the bathrooms. Remote controls in each room allow you to adjust heating or air conditioning. The place is very calm and serene. It is a house full of beautiful energy. An ideal home for a long weekend getaway with friends (perfect for 3 couples). Guest access You’ll have full access to the entire house and garden — the whole place is just for you! A peaceful and serene stay awaits. Other things to note The house is equipped with three dry toilets. Wood chips and essential oils are provided for your comfort. Please place the bags in the green bin next to the white gate. Please note: the gate threshold is quite high, so be careful with low cars.
