Relax & play at the cozy Betsie River Log Cabin. We work hard to make your stay the best. The cabin is on the Betsie River in Thompsonville, MI, 5 miles from Crystal Mountain Ski & Golf & Spa Resort. Within 30 min of Frankfort/Lk Michigan, Traverse City , Beulah/Crystal Lake, & approx 20 min from Interlochen Music Camp. Lakes & the Betsie River surround the area, making fishing and boating easily accessible. The BRLC is a nonsmoking property with a full house generator/new baby gear on sight. The space The Betsie River Log Cabin is a three-story log cabin built in 2005. The cabin is on private property with a gated entrance. The code will be available before your arrival. The front door is keyless entry with a code provided before your arrival. The cabin's entry includes two front steps to the porch. Inside the entrance is a full-size closet and multiple coat hooks. The cabin is 2000 square feet and has three bedrooms. NEW! All new pack-n-play with two sets of sheets, a portable high chair, booster seat, potty seat & an infant bath have been added. Baby monitor and sound machine are in-house as well. The main floor includes a bedroom with a queen bed, dresser, and full-size closet. The attached bathroom also serves as a guest bathroom. Included is a full mirror and luggage rack. Extra blankets in all closets and the footlockers in the loft. The bathroom includes a newly renovated shower, vanity, and plenty of storage for your items. Grab bars are in the shower stall. Cleaning supplies and a hair dryer are included. A complimentary set of personal care products is available for your first day. Child locks are on the cabinet door that holds cleaning products. Toilet paper, towels, washcloths, and hand towels are provided. The main level also includes the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The full-service kitchen consists of an electric Jenn-Aire stovetop, oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. There is a Keurig Coffee maker with 6 decaf and 6 regular coffee pods; tea, powdered cream, and sugar are included. A Keurig filter is available if you would like to bring your own coffee. The kitchen includes dishes, bowls, serving dishes, silverware, bakeware, a mixer, a tea kettle, an electric griddle, a pizza pan, cookie sheets, utensils, pots and pans, toaster and dish towels. Cleaning products are also included, including two rolls of paper towels. The cabinet that holds cleaning products has a child lock. The kitchen table seats 6 and has a leaf that extends the table if needed (can be found in front closet). Additional chairs are available (stored downstairs). Two barstools at the countertop overlook the cooking area. A child booster seat and a new portable high chair are also available. The screened-in porch is just off the dining area and can double the space when the sliding door is open in warm weather. The porch includes a wooden glider, chairs, hanging lights, and tables. The living room includes a couch, a recliner, and a chair with an ottoman. There is a coffee table, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and a convenient electric fireplace. A new 55" Hisense Smart TV is loaded with popular applications. Additional batteries are located in the front hall closet. Games and puzzles are located in the ottoman under the TV, as well as downstairs. The staircase leads to the second level, where a second bedroom features a queen bed, a dresser, and a full closet. There is also a bathroom with a tub/shower and vanity. Grab bars are in the tub/shower. Again, there is plenty of space for personal items. Towels, hand towels, and washcloths are provided. A hairdryer, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies are provided. A complimentary set of personal care products is available for your first day. The vanity has a child lock with cleaning supplies on the cabinet. A baby bath is also available. Extra blankets in bedroom closet. The second level also includes a loft with five twin beds! Two nightstands and lighting are included for the loft, along with a ceiling fan and light. Extra blankets in foot lockers. Extra blankets and pillows are available. All linens are cotton, and mattresses and pillows are enclosed in hypoallergenic covers. Child gates are provided at the base of the stairs leading to the second level and the stairs leading to the basement. If needed, a folding gate system is available for the upper stair level. This is stored in the basement.. Outlet safety covers are installed. The main level has a staircase leading to the game room, which includes a foosball table, an air hockey game, and a four-chair game table. A new smart TV is also included. The washer and dryer are also located in the basement. A small amount of laundry detergent is provided. Three sets of boot/glove warmers are provided for wet or cold boots and gloves. An ironing board and iron are available. The basement also contains a storage unit with baby supplies, including a Pack n Play, mattress, portable high chair, baby bath, towels, potty seat, baby monitor, and sound machine. A fire pit is in the backyard, and deck furniture is available in the warm months. We will supply firewood during the warmer season. During the winter, plowing and salting the walkway are provided. A whole-house generator is installed, so there will be no weather-related blackouts. There is an outdoor security system with cameras located at the front door, the west side of the cabin, the back deck area facing southwest, and on the northeast facing a basement entry. The indoor security system is turned off. All Airbnb cleaning protocol is followed. Guest access Guests have full access to the home and 5 acres of property surrounding the cabin. If any concern arises during your stay , know that we are nearby and can help with just about everything. Matt is within a few miles of the cabin and very responsive to your needs. Your snowmobile is welcome! A map with the local trail will be in the guidebook in the cabin. Bring your bikes, kayaks, tubes, canoes, and fishing gear! The outdoor security system consists of cameras at the front door, the cabin's west side, the back deck facing southwest, and the basement entry door on the east side. Indoor cameras are turned off. Other things to note Please remember the non-smoking policy both in the cabin and on the property. This includes any type of smoking including vaping and other devices. Salmon fishing is at its best from August through September. Steelhead fishing begins in late winter to spring. Michigan Fishing License required. Snowmobiling is extremely popular, and there is access to a long trail that begins outside the cabin gates. Snowmobiling trail can be picked up just east of Webber Road on Deer Track Trail. Check the guidebook in cabin for maps. The river is a great place to look for crayfish, one of our grandson's favorite things to do. A cornhole game has been added and can be found in the basement. New baby equipment is also in the basement.
