Hillside Yurt

Welcome to Hillside Yurt in Dahlonega Georgia. Disconnect and unwind while glamping in comfort in this off grid property. We offer a lot of creature comforts along with a serene and peaceful environment. Only a short drive to downtown Dahlonega, and the numerous wineries, waterfalls, antique shopping and historic sites in the area. We are easy to access as we are right off of Highway 19N. The space This yurt is a short walk from the parking area. There is a staircase in the woods that will deliver you right to your door. The yurt is completely off grid but has electricity, a minifridge, coffee maker and microwave. The yurt is well stocked with plates, bowls, cups eating utensils as well as reading material, books, ga few games and linens. The yurt is heated by a portable heater and cooled by several fans. There is an electric composting toilet. There is no water piped into the yurt, but guests will have access to a bathhouse at the back of the residence at the top of the hill. The bath house has a toilet, sink and shower. No cooking or candles or fire of any kind please. Guest access Guest park in the front parking lot and follow driveway to the path to the Yurt. Cell phone coverage is spotty in the area and there is no Wifi at the Yurt. You will be sent instructions on accessing the yurt. Other things to note I do want to make sure you understand that this is a rustic stay. A yurt is a glorified tent. Most people that stay with me know that and they absolutely love it. I just want to make sure as a host that you have the best experience possible and are happy. People come to the Whipowill to unplug. There is no television or high speed internet. There is no central heat or air. There are fans and a portable heater. They do a good job but it can still get chilly at night and can be hot during the day inside the yurt. There are games to play, extra blankets and a composting toilet inside the unit. There is also a bathhouse with a shower, toilet and sink. I want to make sure you are happy with your stay.
