Welcome to the Heron's Hideaway, an off grid cabin on the edge of beautiful Shadow River. The space provides everything you need for a relaxing camping vacation. Take a paddle up the river in the provided canoe to Lake Rosseau or try your luck catching dinner. Cozy up by the campfire or visit the village of Rosseau, just 2km up the road, for some shopping and a meal. You will find it easy to relax and unwind in this private location. The space Heron's Hideaway is a 108 sq foot cabin with sleeping loft nestled next to the Shadow River leading into Lake Rosseau. The most relaxing location bustling with the sights and sounds of wildlife. Specifically this cabin offers - cold running water for cooking and cleaning - newly added outdoor shower with propane heated water. - comfortable queen bed in loft - solar power for lights and USB charging - bbq - propane burner - kettle - coffee percolator - basic cooking tools provided - canoe - fire pit (wood provided) - outhouse - refrigerated cooler Guest access To access the cabin you will enter driveway off of Highway 141, keeping right at fork in driveway following directional signs pointing to campsite at rivers edge. Site is nestled on our 15 acre property and guests will be welcome to explore all it has to offer. Canoe available for use on site . Other things to note Cabin is located in very secluded area on 15 acre property, far from main house and you will have complete privacy. River has decent fishing and holds Pike, Pickerel, Bass, Crappie, Catfish and Perch. Solar power for lights and USB charging capabilities. Good cell phone coverage. No Smoking Inside the cabin. Cigarette butts to be thrown in provided receptacle. Public boat launch nearby and docking available. Please bring your own towels.
