The space Lovingly restored, Hollow Brook Cottage at Top Riley Holiday Cottages, Eyam, is a beautiful stone-built hideaway where rustic charm meets comfort and calm. Designed with space and serenity in mind, it offers a peaceful escape for those looking to reconnect with nature and unwind in the heart of the Peak District. Unfortunately this property is not suitable for babies or children and therefore is adult only. Step inside and you’ll find a beautifully spacious interior, where high ceilings and large windows flood the rooms with natural light. The landscape feels close , the green fields, rustling trees, and shifting skies pour in through every window, as if the Peak District itself is part of the cottage. The open-plan living space is ideal for quiet evenings in, whether you're cooking a simple supper, curling up with a book by the fire, or sharing stories over a glass of wine. Every detail has been carefully chosen to reflect the surrounding countryside, from natural textures and tones to the warm, welcoming layout. Upstairs, the generous bedroom is filled with light and peace. A super king-size bed promises restful sleep, and the views from here are simply beautiful, endless fields, dry-stone walls, and the occasional deer or hare passing by. The bathroom offers both space and comfort, with a walk-in shower, a stand alone bath and everything you need to refresh after a day outdoors. The downstairs bedroom and ensuite is perfect for sharing this space or if you need time away from your loved one for a truly peaceful sleep! Outside, there’s room to truly breathe. The private patio area is a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast as the sun rises, listen to birdsong throughout the day, or sip something warm as evening settles over the trees. Wildlife is everywhere, watch kestrels and swallows circle overhead, listen for owls at dusk, and keep an eye out for deer and badgers that call this corner of the Peak District home. From the doorstep, you can join peaceful footpaths that wind through meadows, woodlands, and ancient tracks, all without needing to drive anywhere. Whether you're rambling along the valley, heading into nearby Eyam, or climbing towards the gritstone edges, Hollow Brook is a gateway to quiet adventure. This is a place to switch off, slow down, and feel part of the landscape, a spacious, light-filled retreat for nature lovers, walkers, and anyone craving stillness and beauty. Guest access Guests have this cottage and the private outside patio area with hot tub (quiet times from 9pm - 9am with hot tub closed from 10pm.) There is an onsite laundry facility with washing machine and tumble dryer. Unfortunately this property is not suitable for babies or children and therefore is adult only. Other things to note This cottage is part of three cottages in a very peaceful and beautiful location. This is a great base for numerous walks and visits to picturesque spots such as Mam Tor, Castleton and Bakewell. A quiet retreat, ideal for complete relaxation. My family house is opposite the cottage so if you need anything I am on hand to help. The cottage is in a rural location and is a good 10/15 minute walk to the village of Eyam with the pub and cafe's. An ideal location for those wanting to get away from it all, rest and relax peacefully. Unfortunately this property is not suitable for babies or children and therefore is adult only. You are very welcome in the hot tub in the evenings however there are quiet times after 9.00pm due to the other cottages and my family home being close by. This is definitely the place to relax and restore body and mind peacefully. It is not for louder groups. This property does not accept dogs.
