Casa Roble in Playa Negra

A magical and peaceful place on the Caribbean in Puerto Viejo, Casa Roble is nestled in a lush tropical garden just 300 meters (5-min walk) from Playa Negra beach. This charming one-story beach house offers a queen bed in the primary bedroom and a full bed & twin in the second. There is a full bathroom, the primary bedroom has A/C to keep you cool, and the fully stocked kitchen looks out onto the garden. Hector, the resident outdoor cat, is very loving and will stop by to check on you! The space Our Caribbean-style home was built in 1987, and is bright, open, and very comfortable. The windows are lined with netting and wrought iron window guards to allow for the clean, fresh air from the sea. The bedrooms are large and have new memory foam mattresses, Egyptian cotton linens, and bamboo pillows. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, and appliances. The refrigerator and freezer are located in the nearby dining room. The home is one-half of a duplex, but the entire property is enclosed with a private, 2-meter fence and privacy mesh. You’ll also meet Hector, our sweet and friendly resident outdoor cat who came with the purchase of the property. He’s very loving and will stop by to say hello—but don’t worry, he won’t come inside! His gentle presence adds to the magic of your stay. Guest access There is a beautiful front yard and backyard that you will have access to. Other things to note Remember, you are in the Caribbean, on “Tico time” (similar to island time), and in the tropical jungle. Things may take longer to happen, plans may change, it may rain unexpectedly, and the electricity, the internet, or even the water service could run out on you at times. This is all part of your adventure, so take it as the material for a good story, and you will enjoy your stay a lot more.
