Wonderful site in a quiet meadow in beautiful Sussex countryside. 13 pretty pods each with a double bed ( max of 4 people per pod)+ option of large Mongolian Yurt as entertainment space should the weather be bad. On this listing you can either choose amount of pods(each £110 per night) or take whole site reduced to £100 per pod per night (min 2 nights). Tell me how many pods you want & I will send an offer. The space Please note we have this listing a few times on Airbnb to stop the calendar from blocking dates, as you can choose how many pods you would like to suit your group or you can rent the whole site on an exclusive basis. OPEN MAY - OCT Each of our romantic pods, like small yurts, has a real double raised bed with proper mattress, mattress protector, double duvet, pillows, bed cover, blankets, cushions, fairy lights, floor rugs+ camp chairs and stools. If you want sleeping for children or other guests we provide very comfortable Vango self inflating mattresses at no extra cost, with pillows and blankets. Please note that we do not supply linen, duvet covers, sleeping bags or towels. We provide braziers so you can relax and keep warm under the stars and barbecues for cooking. Each pod has 2 camp chairs and 2 stools that you can take outside. We have a shared washing up area. If you are in a group and wanting somewhere inside to relax or dine altogether, should the weather be bad, then it is a good idea to rent one of our very large Mongolian Yurts which is furnished with sofas and we provide trestle tables and benches for dining which you can take in or outside. The Yurts also have a very large cool box. We have new (2025) very well designed compost loos and 2 shower cubicles looking up to the stars, which everyone seems to love. Please note that we are in a field in the countryside, so off grid. Lighting is by solar power and hot water is by gas canisters. The site is in a very pretty meadow surrounded by woodland leading to a stream. There are a few cottages scattered around the area but otherwise you are fairly remote. We do not allow music except for background music from small iphone speakers or similar. We are sorry about this, but we would not want to upset any neighbours. Barcombe is the nearest village which you can walk to and has a shop and pub, The Royal Oak. In the other direction The popular Anchor Pub is about a 25 mins walk and has boats that you can rent out. Lewes is the nearest larger market town which has great shops, restaurants a castle and supermarkets, Tescos, Waitrose and Aldi. Well behaved dogs are welcome but please keep them on a lead so that they do not run off or chase pheasant or deer. Please clean up after them. Other things to note WHAT TO BRING: For your double beds, bring duvet cover, double sheet, pillow cases. For single Vango self inflating mattresses: bring sleeping bags, pillow cases and blankets if particularly cold. Towels, Torch Slip on shoes for going in and out of pods and yurts and Wellington boots if weather is wet. All cooking and bbq utensils. Matches and firelighters Ice for cool box We can sell you logs, kindling and charcoal. Mobile phone charge banks If you are planning on partying then that is fine, with banter around the fires, but we do not allow music at this site as would not want to disturb local people or other guests. We do have a Camp Manager who is around who can help you with anything needed. Smoking in the yurts and pods is not allowed. Please keep dogs on leads at all times, so they do not wander off or chase pheasants or deer and obviously clear up after them. Please do not take the soft furnishings outside as they can get muddy. The short track leading up to the meadow is a track rather than a smooth drive so please drive slowly and carefully Mobile signal at the site is mostly fine. Remember we are off grid so all lighting and heating of water is solar and gas canisters. You can drink the water. All rubbish is to be taken away.
