Riverside retreat, Glyn Glamping, Percy the pod

Situated within the stunning Berwyn Mountains an area of outstanding natural beauty, this idyllic accommodation is perfect for relaxation and outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain biking, or simply enjoying the great outdoors. Our rural location offers low light pollution, making it ideal for star gazing on a clear night, no traffic and is very peaceful. Come and enjoy staying off the beaten track. Ideally suited for active adventurers who also like a luxuriously quiet night’s sleep. The space Our purpose built glamping pod 'Percy' is set within the woodland area of our cottage garden overlooking the stream, approximately 120 metres from the parking area and our main residence. Percy has a kingsize bed with divan storage for your clothes, bedside tables, lamps and tea and coffee making facilities. The pod has central heating , electricity and a high quality private bathroom with flushing toilet, large walk in shower and a hand basin with storage cabinet, situated within just a few meters walk from the pod. We will provide towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap and a hairdryer for use during your stay. In addition, there is a covered outside bbq area for your personal use. This has a large fridge with a small freezer section, a kitchen sink with a small storage cupboard, a gas BBQ with girdle section and a single gas hob burner. Basic cooking/ dining utensils and equipment are provided for you. There is also a fire pit to keep you cosy and warm whilst enjoying the sound and view of the stream and the starry night Skies. Guest access Our cottage garden covers approximately 5 acres of mown lawns and woodland with entire perimeter fencing except along the stream banks. ‘Percy’ the pod is located on the lower section of our land, overlooking the stream and is not overlooked by the main residence. We do have a shepherds hut also located on the lower section about 100m from the Pod. Guests are free to enjoy all the garden areas except the top lawns surrounding our cottage. Other things to note We are very rural, our nearest neighbour being half a mile down the forest track, we have no street lighting or artificial light within the grounds so that you can enjoy the stars on a clear night. Torches will be provided on request. Our guest accommodation does not have Wi-Fi and please be mindful that the 120 metre walk from the parking area is along a grassed area.
