Welcome to Willow Brook Barn, a beautifully appointed two-bedroom property on a no-through lane in Okeford Fitzpaine. Nestled at the foot of Okeford Hill in North Dorset's stunning countryside, this cosy retreat offers comfort and tranquillity. The village provides essentials, including a pub, shop, and Post Office. Adjacent to the owner's home, it ensures privacy and a friendly atmosphere. Enjoy peaceful mornings and relaxing evenings on the private terrace. Ideal for exploring or relaxing. The space Willow Brook Barn is located in the village of Okeford Fitzpaine and is adjacent to the owner's home and within the garden of the primary residence. Formerly Brookside Cottage, the cottage and barn were originally a dairy smallholding forming part of the Pitt Rivers Estate. Access to the barn is via a shared driveway with parking for two guest vehicles. The newly refurbished property sleeps up to 4 people (two double beds). Guests are treated to their private terrace, with garden furniture and a BBQ. The terrace catches the sun most of the day and overlooks Darknoll Brook. It's the perfect hideaway and place to relax during your stay. Living Area Spacious living area with a large 4-seater leather sofa and 4-seat dining area. Free Wi-Fi throughout. Guests can use Sky Q, viewed on a 42-inch TV with a Yamaha sound bar. The sound bar can also be used for music streaming. The living area opens onto your private terrace through double doors, which lead up to the patio and outdoor seating area with BBQ. Kitchen The well-equipped kitchen features marble worktops, two under-counter fridges (one with an icebox), a kettle, a toaster, a full-size Bosch dishwasher, a microwave, LG 7kg washer/dryer, an induction hob, a Bosch double-oven, an Nespresso coffee machine with complimentary coffee pods and cafetière. Bathroom The large bathroom features a separate shower, bath, toilet, and sink. Guests are provided with fresh towels. Bedrooms 1 and 2 Both bedrooms are similar in size. Each has a double bed, Emma mattress, fresh linen with a minimum 400 count, a small wardrobe, and a chest of drawers. It also overlooks the garden. Hall cupboard Hooks for coats, Iron, Ironing board, clothes dryer, fire extinguisher and fire blanket. Private Terrace Access is from the kitchen and living area, leading to a patio area and table/chairs. The steps lead to a larger patio area, dining table and chairs, umbrella, and BBQ. The terrace is a fabulous sun trap and overlooks Darknoll Brook. It is a very peaceful spot—perfect for relaxing during the day or marvelling at the intensity of the starlight at night! Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the barn and private garden/terrace. The property is adjacent to footpaths and open countryside. Other things to note Willow Brook barn is situated within the garden of the owners' home. We (Janine and Andrew) have two small children, aged 3 and 5. Whilst the barn has its own private and secluded garden area, our children may be playing in our garden from time to time. We'll always be mindful of you and try to minimise any disruption during your stay.
