Welcome! Enjoy your stay in our studio apartment in the basement of our home complete with a kitchenette, washer/dryer in unit, walk-in closet, and a separate entrance. Wherever you are visiting from, we welcome you as a guest in our inclusive space for folks of various backgrounds and identities. We’re happy to answer any questions as well. - Lydia & Skylar The space Kitchenette: - Includes a hot plate with pots and pans to cook with - Full-sized fridge - Keurig and K cups available for your coffee needs - Air fryer - Electric tea kettle - Toaster - Note: There is no oven Bedroom area: - Queen sized bed - Roku TV with access to Netflix and Hulu - Walk-in closet - Note: this is a studio apartment so there isn’t a bedroom with a door to close. Bathroom: - Shower (no bathtub) - Native brand shampoo/conditioner and body wash provided - Love Beauty and Planet lotion provided - Blow dryer - Lots of toilet paper provided Desk Space: - Desk available if you plan to do any work during your stay - High speed internet access Washer/Dryer: - Environment friendly Grove Co. laundry detergent sheets - Reusable wool dryer balls for natural fabric softening Guest access You'll have full and private access to the suite to come and go whenever you like with a key-code for entry. Other things to note Please note, there are stairs leading down to the entrance. Due to this being a basement suite, the ceiling has sections that are right above 6 feet, so for tall folks, you'll need to be mindful of the ceiling height of this space. There is no separate bedroom. This is a studio type of apartment, with an open floor plan. We live upstairs, in the main part of the house. We’re respectful of noise and quiet hours, although you will hear us above. Our neighborhood is very walkable. You’ll see people walking, running, and biking in the neighborhood regularly. Berrydale park is one block away and is a nice spot to walk to and hangout in. The heart of downtown Montavilla is about a 15 min walk. Our neighborhood has coffee shops, a bakery, restaurants, bars, shops, a retro theater, and a farmers market on Sundays, Heating and cooling: We control the heat upstairs although there are space heaters provided in the unit. Please let us know if you’d like the heat turned up. We don’t have air conditioning. The basement is well insulated and stays fairly cool in warm weather. There is a standing fan provided in the unit. Parking: There’s space for two cars in front of the house.
