Pink Lady Cottage

Nestled in a valley in picturesque Aberdeen, we welcome you to our comfortable self-contained granny flat with full kitchen, washing machine, air con & private deck. Centrally located for day trips to Cradle Mountain, Stanley, Sheffield, Burnie, Wynyard, Launceston, Mole Creek, Deloraine, Latrobe, Mt Roland & more! Escape to the country whilst being just 15 minute drive from the Spirit of Tasmania & Devonport's amenities. The space The cottage is separate from the main house, separated by a carport. You will have the entire cottage to yourself. The cottage is open-plan living/dining/kitchen with access to the spacious deck, and a separate bedroom and bathroom. *Please note that there is no TV in the living room- the TV with Netflix is located in the bedroom. The bedroom also has a large built in wardrobe for you to put your belongings in. The bedroom contains 1 Queen size bed with an electric blanket. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, stove, microwave, fridge and freezer. We also supply some kitchen cooking basics such as salt, pepper, oil, and a few spices. We have done our best to provide everything you need to cook a meal- we have pots, a frying pan, baking trays, a pizza tray, a small casserole dish, mixing bowls, measuring cups, cutting boards, a knife block, cling wrap/baking paper/alfoil, a grater, potato masher, can opener, whisk, tongs, wooden spoon, spatula, an electric frying pan if you so desire, and of course the usual crockery and utensils. The kitchen also has a front loading washing machine, and we supply washing powder, a clothes airer and pegs, an iron and ironing board. The bathroom has a large and spacious shower, guests have remarked on our excellent water pressure! We supply a hairdryer and shampoo, conditioner and body wash. You will also have your own deck which is particularly spectacular in the fresh summer breeze! Guest access You will have access to the cottage and the deck. At this stage we are still landscaping so unfortunately no gardens are to be accessed. Other things to note - The cottage is separated from the main house by our carport. It is a private cottage but please be aware that is it still close to the main house and though we do our best to stay out of your space, you may see us at times (eg if we are getting the mail or feeding the chooks). - You may at times hear us coming and going, we sometimes leave early for work and we are as quiet as possible but you may still hear us. - As we are in a rural area you may also hear the children in the area playing, riding motorbikes etc. - We are early in our landscaping journey, and whilst the accommodation is complete, the gardens are still underway. - We are on tank water and an enviro-cycle septic system. We ask that you use the products we supply which are septic friendly. No fats or oils to be put down any drain (including milk, cooking oils). We supply throw-away containers which you can pour your cooking fats into and throw away. - As we are in a rural area we do not have any public transport available. - We do at times have power outages that are out of our control (usually due to wild weather). We do not have a generator. As we are on tank water, power outages mean you will not be able to flush the toilet, have showers etc. This is of course really unfortunate but there's not much we can do about it.
