Stunning fun home, 360 views, hot tub & log burner

In a small hamlet on the edge of Dartmoor is our fresh, fun & modern home with amazing 360 views. Upstairs is the stylish & sociable open plan kitchen/dining/living space with doors that open onto the garden backing onto fields. We have a games room with a snooker table, books & toys! Enjoy the woodfired hot tub, outdoor shower & BBQ, trendy dining area and for the kids - a football goal! A superb location to enjoy Dartmoor, local activities and all the SW has to offer. The space For a few weeks each year, we move out of our home, give it a deep clean and get it ready for a family for Airbnb. Most personal items are removed and it is set up for a luxurious, fun and well equipped space for your perfect holiday! We leave everything that will enhance your stay including books, games, puzzles for the kids etc as well as a big list of things to do locally (that are not on Trip Advisor) to ensure you have the opportunity to book early - as we all know this is a must! With the hot tub, basketball hoop, football goal and various outdoor games, you can ensure your children will be super happy for the week so you can relax! We are in the perfect location to explore wild and rugged Dartmoor and only a short drive to the local beaches of Shaldon and Teignmouth. Thirty minutes to exciting Exeter and we are close to the A38 but far away enough to feel as if you’re away from it all. Within 45 minutes, you can be in the South Hams enjoying the very best beaches Devon has to offer. Our detached property is accessed via a private lane onto a large enclosed driveway with EV charger. The master bedroom has a very comfortable king bed and stylish ensuite with a large mirrored wardrobe. The second bedroom gets the best of the morning sun and also has a king bed. The upstairs bedroom has a king bed and has the added bonus of a smart TV and is connected to a preloaded Sega mega drive. Below this room is the games room with a small pool table and sofa and boxes of Lego and Duplo! The house is heated by underfloor heating and there is a wood burner in the living area for cooler evenings. The house was styled by a local well known interior designer who has thought about all the little details as well as the overall wow factor. We have a wood fired hot tub at the top of the garden so you can enjoy beautiful views and privacy and a pergola over the outside seating/dining area with charcoal barbecue (please provide your own charcoal). We do have a rather sweet but elusive cat called Darcy - she has an outdoor space so doesn’t need to be in the house during your stay. We do accept dogs, please make sure they are included in the booking as there is a small pet fee. Please note that 7 nights is the minimum stay length and check in / check out is Friday except if you are looking at New Year 2025 (this year) in which case it is Saturday to Saturday. We don’t charge a cleaning fee with the hope and expectation that you will leave our home really neat and tidy on departure. We look forward to meeting you! Guest access You have exclusive access to the whole house and garden which is large and secure. Other things to note We are situated in a small hamlet on the edge of Ilsington village. Our house is accessed by a private lane and the garden is not overlooked. We have a large secure courtyard at the front of the house with enough parking for four cars. Even though this is our family home, we are fully compliant to keep you and your family safe during your holiday. We have an up-to-date EICR and Fire Risk Assessment, PAT testing, chimney certificate, hot tub servicing and the relevant insurances in place.
