Cascade House

Cascade House, built in1930, is a 950 sq ft house located about 75 miles from Seattle in the small mountain town of Darrington. Our house is a perfect relaxing launch pad for outdoor activities in the area including hiking, fishing, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, rafting, archery, and many more. With its central location, and amazing views of Whitehorse Mountain, it's also a great place to simply relax and enjoy the small mountain town. The space The space is perfectly designed to be small and cozy, but also has everything you need to both live and work comfortably. There is one bedroom with a queen size bed, as well as a loft with a queen size bed, a desk, and a reading nook. The kitchen is stocked with cooking essentials, spices, a variety of teas, ground coffee, a French press, electric kettle, and a Moka stovetop espresso maker. *NOTE* the stairs to the loft are narrow and steep, therefore might not be suitable for younger kids or adults with mobility issues. elderly people. The house is NOT child-proofed, so please do not leave children unattended. The house is ideal for mature adults, and is not a great fit for toddlers, or people looking to party (we only allow 4 guests maximum). We do have neighbors who are full time residents, and we care deeply about ensuring the area remains quiet and peaceful for them. LOCATION Cascade House is located in Darrington, which is located about 75miles northeast of Seattle, or 75 miles southeast of Bellingham. It is about 45min to North Cascades National Park - SE entrance, Diablo Lake, Ross Lake, Baker Lake, to mention some. That said, local hikes and the Sauk river only only minutes away. The house is walking distance to a grocery store, restaurants, brewery, and coffee shop. Guest access Guests will have full access to the house. The garage is kept locked as this is where we store all of our supplies and tools. Other things to note PETS UPON APPROVAL ONLY: We will consider (1) well behaved dog on a case-by-case basis (sorry no cats). A non-refundable $80 fee per pet/stay is required. This fee is dedicated to the additional cleaning needed between guests. We ask you to please be mindful of the furniture. We provide blankets to cover it, a dog's bed, dish, toys, and plenty of poop bags so you can keep the yard clean. The backyard is fully fenced. *WEATHER / CANCELLATIONS* We cannot predict or control weather, so we don't offer refunds due to inclement weather - unless it is within our cancelation policy. Please keep this in mind when booking, and if this is a concern, we recommend purchasing travel insurance (AirBNB provides this while checking out). We appreciate your understanding.
