The space Please read CAREFULLY: Our house is the ideal place to rest and connect with nature with family or friends but it is NOT a place to throw a PARTY. We are part of the delicate forest ecosystem, so sometimes rabbits, squirrels, wasps, and small rodents enter the property. Our service staff is trained to deal with this situation so that our guests are always comfortable. The house has large spaces and high ceilings on a single level of 200 square meters. It is very COMFORTABLE and FUNCTIONAL without losing sight of AESTHETICS. In the main area there are three bedrooms; two with a private bathroom, the third uses the full bathroom in the hallway. On the other side of the house and next to the kitchen is a small extra room with a bunk bed and a full private bathroom so it would be suitable for older children, adults or service staff. The terrace has a spectacular view of the golf course with an outdoor living room, grill and dining table. A water channel runs through the property, so young children need to be supervised. At night you can cook dinner if you wish in the kitchen (note that we do NOT have a microwave oven or dishwasher), spend time by the fireplace or play board games. End the evening with an outdoor campfire roasting marshmallows. If you play the guitar, don't forget to bring it! There are two fireplaces for your use. Firewood can be bought directly on the property at 250 pesos a load, which is enough for both fireplaces. If you want to use central heating, there is an additional charge of 900 pesos / weekend that is paid directly there during the stay. Our property is fenced and we have an adult dog that lives in the caretaker's room in a separate building. Pets are allowed and smoking is prohibited inside the house, but allowed on the terrace. Some basic food supplies are provided, such as salt, pepper, some herbs and spices, and cooking oil. Complimentary tea and coffee will be available. Despite being located in a rural setting, the house has satellite WIFI service so even in the middle of the forest you can be connected if you wish. Nowadays, when technology monopolizes every space in our lives, it is important to find a balance, and at Casa Yin Yang we seek to do so. The place invites you to detox from social media and the news as there is no TV signal, but it also allows you to connect if you need to work from home. As the house is in the forest, during the rainy season, it is possible that the electricity goes off as the heavy rains and wind sometimes causes the trees to fall down and cut the cables. While we always strive to resolve any issue you may have as soon as possible, mother nature is not in our hands. We hope to have your understanding. Other things to note The house is in the middle of the forest at an altitude of 2,600 meters. The air is always cool and invigorating. I suggest you bring warm clothes as the mornings and evenings are cold. In rainy times, it's ideal to wear good waterproof boots to continue enjoying walks in the woods. A car is recommended.
