As Sand Creek Escape is located off of paved roads - please note that there is 1.25 miles of gravel roads that lead you to your stay. Oversized vehicles need not worry, as there is plenty of room for parking. Other things to note Sand Creek Escape is located half way between Burlington and Stratton, Colorado. Start your exploration of Burlington with a visit to the Old Town Museum which is open year round. If you stop by from Memorial Day through Labor Day be sure to stay for their High Noon can can shows and live gun fights in the saloon on Saturdays. On the fourth Saturday of each month Old Town offers a Wild West Dinner Theater package, which includes a full western meal and melodrama stage show for just $25.00. Continue your exploration of the area with a trip to Stratton’s year round public 9-hole golf course. The course measures 2663 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 92 and a 30.7 USGA rating. The course offers two sets of tees for different skill levels.
